The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

Pembrokeshire is famous for its scenery and beautiful sandy beaches. The area is steeped in history and it has many castles and ruins to visit. It is also well known for the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path that runs for many miles.

Pembroke

Freshwater East has a fine safe sandy beach, backed by low dunes and flanked by cliffs. Close to the village of Lamphey where the ruins of the splendid 13th century Bishops Palace can be seen. Bosherston and its famous lilly ponds are close by, and Barafundle Bay, a world famous beach, is here. Freshwater East is 10 miles from Tenby and 4 miles from Pembroke which has the grandest castle in the whole area. Perfect location for your holiday.
