Home description

This property has been sympathetically restored to retain many of the original features with a spacious kitchen/dining room. Handmade patchwork quilts and the clever use of fabrics add to the character and charm of this lovely cottage.

A tasteful combination of old and new, it is one of two very comfortable properties at the end of a private lane, in a stunning location, just yards from the Coastal Path. Stroll to the beach, walk to your heart’s content, go birdwatching, barbecue or just put your feet up.

Featured in the Travel Holiday Magazine – “but it is the outside I can’t get enough of and then there’s the view … the farm stands high on a craggy headland overlooking the deep blue of West Angle Bay”. Logs for log burner provided and dogs welcome.

Owners on site in the farmhouse next door, and the location is shared with The Stable.

The West Wales / Pembrokeshire / Pembrokeshire region

=== When It's Hot ===

Catch the rays. We’ve got stunning beaches – from miles and miles of golden sands to tiny - but there’s tons else to do. There’s fragrant gardens, fun attractions, al fresco eateries...

=== When It's Windy ===

Ride the wind - go wind-surfing, kite landboarding or kite surfing. Take an exhilarating cliff top walk and watch white crested waves race into the land. Escape indoors to a restaurant with a view and watch the world blow by…

=== When It's Wet ===

Get even wetter and go windsurfing or kayaking or swimming (assuming there’s no lightning!) Get creative and do an art class – paint a plate or watercolour a miniature. Tackle an indoor sport – anything from bowls to karting…

=== When It's Cold ===

Don a diving suit and head for the sea floor. Pick up a paper and chill out in a snug coffee bar. Go bohemian and take art lessons. Forget about the calories and enjoy Big Winter Warmer meals by cosy pub fires…

Pembroke / Angle area

=== Angle ===

This charming village is located between East Angle Bay on the Milford Haven Waterway and the sandy West Angle Bay at the entrance to the Waterway. Angle has a proud and long seafaring tradition, and its lifeboat station is evidence of this. It has a fine medieval fortified residence (the Tower House). East Angle Bay is very popular with boat owners and the village is well situated for some interesting circular coastal walks.

=== Pembroke ===

This character-rich walled town dates back over 900 years and is famous for its Norman Castle, one of Britain’s finest and one of the best known in Wales. It was the birthplace of Henry VII, founder of the Tudor dynasty. Along the main street with its predominance of Georgian buildings you’ll find a variety of shops, banks and restaurants. The mill pond runs parallel to the main street and is a peaceful spot to watch the swans, herons, ducks and other water birds. You may even be lucky enough to spot an otter.

* The Castle, a must with its endless rooms, spiral stone staircases, passages and turrets will occupy you for hours. It affords fine views of the town and surrounding countryside and waterway. There’s also a museum and during the summer months an extensive programme of dramatic events, re-enactments and festivals takes place within its walls.
* The Pembroke Visitor Centre tells the Story of Pembroke in graphic detail.

How to get there

Buses do run from Pembroke and Pembroke Dock, and there are local taxis, but your own transport is recommended unless you are content to stay close to Angle.

From Pembroke, follow B4320 to Angle. In the village, follow road west to West Angle Bay, and take the private track on the right immediately before the beach car park.
