Mandurah is ideally suited to families and those bringing grandparents as the lounge and dining room both have a TV/DVD and a large conservatory with 2 sofas giving plenty of space for everyone. It is also one of the few places in Freshwater East with a good mobile phone signal.

Large gated drive with ample parking for 4 cars. Enclosed back garden means children can play safely with benches, patio area, picnic table, chairs & barbecue. There are some sea views to the front and open countryside to the rear with views right across to the Preseli hills.
Conditions
30% deposit required when booking. Balance payable 10 weeks prior to holiday.
£150 refundable deposit required.
No smoking. No pets. No groups or Hen/Stag parties.
Arrival after 3pm Saturdays and departure by 10am.
Will consider short breaks out of season.

Pembroke is the closest town with its imposing castle, birthplace of theTudor monarchy, and the mill pond where you can take a stroll and feed the swans. Freshwater west with its surfing beach and where Harry Potter was filmed and the shell house stood in the final book. Stackpole Estate is only a few minutes along the coast with its many walks or sit and have a cream tea looking over the quay. Barafundle bay, voted one of the best in the world, is walkable from here. Bosherton lily ponds and Broad Haven are just along the coast.
The Pembroke / Freshwater East area
Freshwater East is a coastal village with a sandy beach backed by sand dunes, when the tide is out there are plenty of rock pools to explore.The 186miles Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs through Freshwater East with Manorbier and Stackpole nearby. The village pub is only 200 meters away and serves hot food and takeaways. Bring a boat, there is a boat park at the back of the beach and they will launch it for you for a small fee.

Directions from Kilgetty roundabout where the A477 & A478 join. Stay on the A477 from the roundabout take the Pembroke/Pembroke Dock road, turn left in Milton at the Farm Shop. Follow road to T junction at top of the hill. Turn right to Lamphey, pass The Dial Inn, turn left at the junction, go over the bridge, turn right then immediately
left, follow B4584 into Freshwater East Village. Do not turn right to the beach road carry on and you will see the Freshwater Inn on your right. Mandurah is approx 200 meters further on on your left. The name plate is on the wall outside..

We have just booked Mandurah again for summer 2013, we had such a wonderful holiday last year. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped inside. Outside the garden is a great space for the kids to play, it's private, not overlooked and has great views. The location is brilliant for the beach and coast path and the local pub is a short walk along the road. The beach at Freshwater East is great for kids, sand dunes, rock pools, a stream and it's sandy. The area around has plenty to do, castles, theme parks, zoos and there are numerous beaches all around the coast. Manorbier, 5 minutes away has a good surfing beach and a castle which the kids loved, we also spent a day in Tenby and took a boat trip to Caldey Island, well worth a visit. I wouldn't hesitate in giving Mandurah an excellent rating, that's why we are going back. |

Mandurah is in an ideal location, in total only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The beach can be accessed via the road or the public footpaths down the hillside. The views of the countryside from the back garden are amazing, you can see all the green & yellow fields going on for miles. It is a very tranquil area and the bungalow is well kept to a very cleanly standard. Spacious and cosy rooms, ideal for a romantic or family getaway. The owners are a friendly couple, very easy to talk to and happy to help. I highly recommend mandurah! |
