Home descriptionConverted from a farm building set in a tranquil location overlooking vineyards, woods and pretty undulating countryside. Every care has been taken to retain the character of the house and each room is tastefully decorated and furnished, providing everything for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The main entrance leads from a stone-walled terrace with pergola into a spacious dining room / lounge with TV and DVD player. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom and en-suite shower room with wash-basin and WC. The kitchen is fully equipped, with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave oven. A separate utility room has a freezer, washing machine, sink and ironing facilities. Upstairs there is a large twin bedroom, a mezzanine with a single and a roll-away bed and a second shower room with wash-basin and WC. Guests have the private use of a swimming pool (9 x 5) which can be seen from the terrace, kitchen, and the upper floor. Additional equipment includes parasol and sufficient sun loungers for every visitor. Bed linen and towels are changed weekly (excluding pool towels which are not provided). The English / French speaking owners living on site are only too happy to help in offering advice on places of interest to visit.

Each have lively markets on different days of the week. The accommodation lies within the Bordeaux wine region and the choice of wine makers offering free wine tasting is enormous. Restaurants in the vicinity are plentiful and during the summer season many of the villages have evening markets and festivals, varying from jazz and classical open air concerts to vide greniers (bric-a-brac fairs) and son et lumière events. Pellegrue areaThe nearest village to the property, Pellegrue, is only 4 kms away and offers a choice of shops: mini super market Ecomarche, baker, banks with cash dispensers, post office, chemist, bar and tourist information office where bikes can be hired, 2 tennis courts. Sainte Foy la Grande, only 17 kms away, is on the Dordogne river and has several supermarkets and on Saturdays a traditional market (known as one of the best in France).
