Ben My Chree Beach Holiday Cottage is nestled in the centre of the conservation area of the City of Old Peel, with its superb cathedral, places to eat with a good choice of beach and harbour restaurants, lively pubs and bars. Local shops and supermarket are "just round the corner". Bikes can be hired easily, and boats can be taken from the harbour for a trip to fish, or view the wildlife like the sharks, seals and various types of sea birds around Peel.

You can be driven round the island on a motorbike which holds two passengers.

The beautiful new marina, bustling harbour, ancient castle with a wonderful walkway alll the way around the outside ending at the harbour kiosk are close by. There is another sandy beach with rocks upon which the castle is built, and you can walk up the steps cut into the rock to get to the walkway around the castle. This is completely free. You will see kayakers, coast orienteering, and snorkellers operating from this splendid sandy beach.

You can hire boats to take you out to see the wonderful wildlife around the back of the castle, including various sea birds, seals, and basking sharks and it is magical!

The seafront position is perfect for admiring the striking Peel sunsets and is ideally situated as a base to explore this attractive island.

And best of all – the cottage is on the promenade and right by the fantastic sandy beach!

The Isle of Man region

"Britain's Best-kept Secret" PEEL SUNSET CITY. Voted many times with the annual awards Peel is the best tourist town in the Isle of Man! It is the most up to date Heritage city on the island.

PEEL SUNSET CITY (Purt ny Hinshey) - Manx language!

The most Manx town on the Isle of Man. Here fishing thrives with a busy harbour. Loads of places to walk and scenery to enjoy. Lovely beach side town with many local shops of interest.

Peel sits on the west coast of the island, is the only city on the Isle of Man, and has the island's cathedral. It is here visitors will find a variety of interests, including a large ruin castle from 1392. Fishing has a long history in Peel as it once was the island's main fishing port. To this day the harbour can be seen filled with boats of the fishing trade. It is here that Herring is cured to make the famous Manx kippers.

Known as Manx town of the Island, Peel, offers many local shops and brilliant restaurants. There is an old style feel to the place with many narrow streets and small houses near the coast. There are two beautiful sandy beaches and a perfect promenade which is sheltered by hills and St Patrick's Isle. In the evening a stunning sunset can be seen, which is why Peel is also known as the Sunset City.

THERE ARE REGULAR CELEBRATIONS IN PEEL WITH BOAT FESTIVALS, CARNIVALS, SECRET GARDENS, TALL BOAT FESTIVALS, VIKING FESTIVALS, FIREWORKS, MOTORCYCLE EVENTS AND MORE.

Peel

The picturesque City of Peel offers a variety of walks and is rich in history with a state of the art Heritage Centre and ancient castle. Seal and shark boat trips depart nearby and the cottage is within 5 minutes walk of a selection of unique museums, good restaurants and pubs. There are two lovely sandy beaches, one with a large cave to explore at low tide!

And best of all Ben-My-Chree Beach Holiday Cottage is virtually on the sandy beach!

"Ben My Chree Beautiful Cottage Perfect Position"

We have stayed here for the last two years, having previously stayed in several cottages in the area, this is easily the best,. Perfect position facing the beach and close to the town, the cottage is beautifully furnished and Jenni and Bob who live next door are very friendly and helpful. We have wonderful memories of going to sleep to the sound of the waves and drawing back the curtains in the morning to look out over the bay from our bed. We have already booked for next year.

Thank you very much for this - It's good to be 'simply the best!' - and we, along with the seals, basking sharks, and gannets across from the cottage, and are looking forward to you both staying again next year.
