Glentress is a world famous mountain biking centre, just 3 miles away. Peebles has an award winning Chocolatier, excellent restaurants, pubs and shops. It boasts a fascinating local museum and hosts various festivals each year, the Beltane in June; the Wood Festival and Food Festival in October. There is a local market each Thursday and a Farmers Market on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Peebles has the Eastgate Theatre with a busy programme of events, including a 'Cinema Night' and a swimming pool. Stobo Health Spa, 4 miles away, is a luxurious treat where day visits can be booked.
