Benko is situated in a semi rural location a mile from historic Peebles High street. Only three miles from world class mountain bike trails at Glentress Forest. There are excellent walking trails, quite literally on your doorstep, a private gate to the side of the property opens directly onto the John Buchan Way (a 12 mile marked walk from Peebles to Broughton over low lying moorlands). Golf and fishing are also very well provided. Head to the high street for afternoon tea at the Tontine Hotel or simply curl up with a good book and enjoy the peace and the views of the countryside. Benko is also a perfect base for day trips to other Border towns or to the City of Edinburgh.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has "zip beds" and can therefore be made into 1 double bed or 2 single beds. The third bedroom has full size bunk beds. Kitchen is fully equipped. The living area has two leather sofas and a rocking chair. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Gas central heating and electricity are included.

To the side of the property there is a gate which open's directly onto beautiful open countryside and forest trails.
The Scottish Borders region
Barely more than 20 miles separates one Scottish Borders town from the next. These towns have a history extensively shaped by centuries of warfare and there are many historial buildings to mark this past.
Magnificent scenery and vast countryside make the Scottish Borders a great walking region. There are 1500miles of dedicated walking pathways in the Borders and it is home to six national walks including the Abbeys Borders Walk, 64mile St Cuthbert’s Walk, the finish of the Pennine Way, Berwickshire Coastal Path part of the 212 mile Southern Upland Way & finally the John Buchan Way which passes your doorstep at The Bothy Holiday let. This walks covers 12 miles from Peebles to Broughton and is named after the authors many associations with the area.
The Scottish Borders also hosts the award winning 7 stanes which are 7 mountain biking centres including Glentress and Innerleithen which are within 3 & 6 miles respectively from The Bothy with the other 6 (Ae, Newcastleton, Mabie, Dalbettie, Kirroughtree and Glentrool) in neighbouring Dumfries and Galloway.
The Royal burgh of Peebles is a thriving market town and offers an excellent array of amenities including banks, post office, a range of independent shops, supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants.
The local area is particularly well served for recreational activities with golf courses, fishing, walking and world class mountain biking all within easy reach.
There is good access from Peebles to the other borders towns via the road network with the A703 giving access to Edinburgh. A regular bus service runs to and from the capital city.
