The St James Parish region
St James is famous for the white powdery beaches, luxurious hotels and world class restaurants, serving Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisine. It's also home to the protected Turtle colony, take a boat trip and swim one on one with this precious species. Holetown is the commercial heart of the parish, with banks, supermarkets, police station and local stores. Holetown Festival, which celebrates the landing of the first settlers in February 1627, includes a street parade, local exhibits and of course music and dancing.

Holetown, a mere 5 minutes north, with its supermarkets, banks, duty-free shopping facilities, boasts some of the islands best restaurants, from the affordable to the exclusive. Water sports are available within a few minutes' walk and several world class golf courses are just a short drive away. The world famous and critically acclaimed 'The Cliff' restaurant is a short walk away, while Daphne's restaurant is even closer. The Sandy Lane Hotel is a comfortable stroll up the beach.
