About the home

Dolphin villa is located almost at sea-level on a beautiful headland, and is the choice for a really quiet and relaxed holiday to Paxos - no real need to hire a car, a large private swimming pool, two pebble beaches below the villas and a gorgeous sandy one opposite.

The villa is detached and has its own access, a private veranda below which flowering shrubs grow. The views could hardly be better, with the sparkling sea so close by.

The villa has its own attractively furnished living room with dining table and couch, and the kitchen is modern and well-equipped.

There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both air-conditioned.

The swimming pool is very large and is equipped with large umbrellas, sun beds and chairs, and with a cool stone-tiled terrace all round, this is a magical spot for a swim, whether you like a lazy float or a calorie-burning sprint, and moreover it will be hard to take your eyes off the view, that stretches as far as the neighbouring island of Anti-Paxos.

Paxos is the smallest of the Ionian Islands, lying just 11 km from the southernmost tip of Corfu. Many visitors return year after year to Paxos to experience the intimacy of this peaceful haven, the genuine friendliness of the local Paxiots, and the captivating scenery. Paxos is covered in many olive groves intersected by dry-stone walls and paths, that often lead to a derelict villa or abandoned stone olive press! The gnarled and twisted olive trees, some of them hundreds of years old, shelter numerous species of wild flowers at their roots, while here and there, small vineyards flourish. This serene and unspoiled landscape is what makes a holiday to the island of Paxos truly memorable.

The Paxos / Mongonissi area

Moggonisi: is really a very small island, now linked to the island of Paxos by a small causeway, flanked by a very pleasant sandy beach. Forming a beautiful and very sheltered inlet, the bay of Mongonissi is popular with yachts who have always found shelter here from wind and weather. The swimming is superb with clean clear water shelves gently making it ideal for children and inexperienced swimmers.
