The East Thailand / Chon Buri Province region
Jomtien is much quieter and friendlier than nearby Pattaya. A large ex-pat community live in the area.
There are many bars and restaurants, also watersports. The weather is tropical and hot all year round even in the rainy season. Bangkok is only 90 minutes north along the motorway.
Pattaya / Jomtien Beach area
There is a floating market 5 minutes away. Botanical Gardens of Nong Nooch, Elephant trecking, fishing , sea and freshwater. It very cheap to travel locally on Baht buses, 10 baht a journey. Mopeds are useful in this area and very cheap to rent, a car is recommended if you wish to travel further afield. Car hire can be arranged on your behalf.

The house is 90 minutes by taxi from the new airport. I can arrange limousine,minibus or stretch limo to bring you directly here.
