My Jomtien... Pattaya Thailand

Long before Pattaya became a famous destination – Jomtien Beach had already carved a niche of its own, at least among the local beachgoers who adored it for its pearly white sands and long straight beach.

Albeit a little late, there’s a renewed tourist interest in Jomtien from around the World. On an ordinary day, the resort looks like a busy carnival ground with colorful umbrellas dotting the whole stretch of the beach and sun worshippers in all kinds of swimwear-spicing up the scene. An interesting foreground to the huge palms, flood lit at night overhead with the Gulfs gentle breezes whispering in your ears.

Jomtien today

Jomtien was an old fishing village, a great favourite picnic destination among the Bangkok residents evidence of which can be seen on any Thai public holiday!

Not so much of a water sport centre then, this distinction came much later.

Today, Jomtien is a much more popular destination, the six-kilometers of largely straight beach, located just around the headland from Pattaya is popular with many water sports enthusiasts. It is also quieter and more relaxing than Pattaya Beach, shop’s, restaurants and the occasional bar are available along the road that runs parallel with the beach.

Thailand activities

Windsurfing is the beach’s most popular water sport particularly October through to June with ideal water and wind conditions.
Other sports such as skydiving, kite boarding, parasailing, water-skiing, jet skies and banana boat rides are also available.

There is little in the way of shopping or beer bars compared to Pattaya at Jomtien, which is essentially a residential area, with beachside hotels, condominiums and private rental Villas and Bungalows.

Jomtien is also the home to Pattaya Park, an entertainment complex with a water park, roller coaster, monorail and children’s activities. The 56-story Pattaya Park tower is a landmark that can be seen from virtually anywhere in the city.

Climate
Tropical and warm all year round, monsoon winds are sometimes accompanied by the rains. It can be very hot March to June, July to September ranging from 32 to 38 degrees, cooler and very comfortable from November through to February.

Pattaya offers more than beach and nightlife. In addition to the sports, island tours, traditional Thai massage and shopping, there are also lots of other great attractions. Swimming, relaxation and many water sports are available... Thailand Golf experience are unforgetable, there are more than 5 golf cources around our villas.

"Nice to see you nice"

These villas are very nice and the upkeep is very good. Very relaxed and laid back attitude which is perfected for this part of the world. If you need anything it can be sorted over the phone or if you prefer someone will pop over for a chat……. You get a nice welcome when you arrive.

I only had 2 small things to complain about firstly the pool pump (didn’t work a lot of the time we were there. Which meant some days there would be insects floating on the top) And secondly the extra charge for the electric.

Personally I don’t see why THH should charge extra for electric as the price of the villa is expensive.


If you are going for a lad’s holiday walking street is a taxi trip away it should cost you no more then 200bht. The taxi drivers will try to ask for more but are happy with 200 bht. If you get is cheaper that’s better.

"Personal Service"

My wife and family enjoyed our stay in Jomtien with Thailand Holiday Homes.
Booking was easy and done in minutes. The owners were always on the end of
the phone should we require anything. They were particularly helpful when my
4 year old cut his head (as they do) and even offered to come to the hospital
with us. The villa was in good order and the visiting family made good use of
the swimming pool. Maids came every day, allowing us to relax. We would
certainly recommend Thailand Holiday Homes to anyone.

"Fantastic Holiday"

"Perfect place to have a great vacation with friends and family."

23 of us travelled from 3 different cities of India to bring in the New Year.Paul and her lovely girls Tuk and Tanya ensured that all our special requests/requirements were in place.
