Beaches: The nearby beaches of Naklua Bay, Wong Phrachan (Crescent Moon), and Wong Amat in the north down to Jomtien Beach in the south cover a total length of 14 km. The area of Pattaya Bay, also called Pattaya Beach, is the most popular tourist beach.
Elephant Village: Elephants are the national symbol of Thailand, and these amazing animals have been part of Thai culture for centuries. Demonstrations of training methods and ancient ceremonial re-enactments plus entertaining performances and wild elephant round-ups allow you to enjoy the beauty of this majestic beast and form a show that shouldn't be missed.
Underwater World Pattaya: Walk through the 100-metre long Plexiglas tunnel and discover the undersea world of more than 4,000 marine animals in the largest and most modern ocean aquarium in Southeast Asia.
Alangkarn: A wonderful extravaganza, this 75-minute cultural performance show explores Thailand's history through a multi media, multi-dimension presentation with a laser show, surround sound system, and over 150 performers, plus elephants and special effects. The huge air-conditioned theatre holds seats for 2,000 visitors with shows every evening at 8.45p.m. Optional dinners available.
Mini Siam: Located near Pattaya Klang, this miniature city with more than 100 models on a scale of 1:25 has replicas of 80 sacred places and important historical sites from around Thailand. Models include the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Bridge over the River Kwai, the Golden Stupa and the Pimai Khmer Sanctuary.
Khao Kheow Open Zoo: Featuring 2,000 acres of beautiful forest combined with a zoo, a wonderful bird aviary and waterfalls, this excellent organization is under Royal Patronage and makes a superb day trip.
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden: Stroll among a dazzling array of orchids, unusual tropical plants, ferns and manmade waterfalls in this welcome escape from the frenetic activity of a popular beach resort. Watch elephants play and even contest them in a tug-of-war. See cultural presentations, dances, martial arts, and handicraft making; or take a dip in the refreshing pool.

Pattaya's many nearby islands make for the perfect day-trip to enjoy swimming, fishing and coral viewing. You may wish to charter a boat or just take a local ferry service to any of the islands below:
Koh Larn (Coral Island): Well known for its beautiful white sandy beaches, clear water and an abundance of coral, Koh Larn is less than 8 km west of Pattaya Beach - a boat ride which takes about 45 minutes by ferry or 20 minutes by speedboat. For visitors who are not diving enthusiasts, glass-bottom boats are available to view the coral.
Koh Samet Island: One of the most popular island destinations in Thailand,
Koh Samet Island is an ideal getaway destination located in Rayong province – a one hour drive from Pattaya. Enjoy lying on pristine beaches, swimming in the sky-blue sea or sunbathing under the island's brilliant sun. Kho Samet Island is a perfect holiday destination.
Koh Si Chang: Once a royal destination favored by three of Thailand's former Kings, Koh Si Chang Island's remaining link to royalty can still be seen in place names all over the island. Don't miss a visit to Chao Por Khao Yai, the famous Buddha statue highly respected by the people on the island.
Koh Pai Cluster of Islands: Comprising Koh Pai (the largest), Koh Manvichai, Koh Leom and Koh Klung Badan, this cluster of small islands is about 12 km from Pattaya, a trip of around two hours by boat. Presently under the supervision of the Royal Thai Navy, the islands make the perfect destination for an unforgettable day of swimming, snorkeling, coral viewing, fishing and relaxed moments under the palm trees.
Koh Krok: Just a small cluster of rocks, Koh Krok features one sandy beach that runs for 100 metres on the east side of the island, a great destination for coral viewing and to enjoy a life on a small rocky island.
Koh Sak: Shaped like a horse-shoe, Koh Sak is a tiny island – around 600 meters away from Koh Larn and about 10 km west of Pattaya. It has two beaches, one on the northern side, and the other on the southern side of the island; both are connected by a delightful pathway.
