Travelling to Thailand is easy and convenient with a modern, dependable transportation system. The People Over 95 per cent of Thailand’s population is Buddhist, with Muslim, Christian, Hindu and animist minorities. The natural language is Thai, though many speak Chinese and a variety of local dialects. English is widely spoken especially in the more tourist areas such as Pattaya, Jomtien and Bangkok. Thailand about the size of England shares it’s borders with Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar (Burma). Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket and Hat Yai are THAI’s international gateways.
Climate Thailand’s tropical climate has in the main three seasons: Hot: March to June, here’s a chance for a really great tan! Rainy: July to November, usually quick and heavy, over in a flash and very refreshing. Cool: November to February, compared to April maybe but never cold! Average temperatures range from 20 degrees to 35 degrees. The weather is often cooler in the Northern regions with it’s mountains and the forestry.
Visas Most nationalities do not need pre-arranged visas as visas up to 30 days are granted on arrival, other nationalities can obtain a 15 day visa on arrival (two photo’s are needed). You can also obtain in advance from your local Thai embassy a tourist visa for stays up to 60 days, this is usually a very fast and simple procedure. Over stays in Thailand can become expensive and frowned upon, if your looking for a longer stay – get a visa.
Customs Duty free allowance for visitors is 200 cigarettes and one litre of wine or spirits. Importing weapons and pornography is prohibited. Penalties for attempting to smuggle drugs are extremely severe – Thai prisons are some of the most feared places in the world, you do not want to be there. Do not attempt to smuggle cigarettes fines are massive and cigarettes are very cheap here – it’s not worth it! Within reason you can bring as much in travellers cheques as you wish but if you carry more than £5000/USD 10,000 you must declare it at customs, you must not take out of the country sums greater than THB50,000 in cash.
Shopping
Pattaya is a shopper’s paradise, with luxurious malls, department stores, open fronted boutiques and day and night bazaars in which to hunt for your bargains. Only buy your jewellery at reputable shops, if unsure we will happily accompany you and insist on a certificate guaranteeing the quality. There are street touts that will offer you the deal of a lifetime – if it sounds too good to be true avoid it like a toothache. General

Conditions
A 15% deposit is required on confirmed booking, 35% eight weeks prior to travel with the balance payable on arrival. No breakages deposit are required but replacement or payment for any damage needs to be paid for prior to departure. Should you decide to use the facility of the free use of car a 5000 baht insurance excess deposit is required, in the event of any damage this is not refundable.

We finally got home on Tuesaday last, 9 days late from Thailand. We were put up by the tourist board in the A one hotel which was very nice and comfortable.
I just wanted to thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house. It was perfect in every way and i hope that you were happy with your tenants. Your cleaners were excellent and my laundry was never ironed so well. Your family were great and we felt right at home in your house.
We will return to Pattaya and we will be in touch when we finalise our next trip.
