The Yorkshire Dales is home to over 1,500 square kilometres of the renowned Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is characterised by its unspoilt Dales villages, patchwork of dry stone walls and stunning fells and dales countryside. Visitors are able to travel for miles along quiet country roads, surrounded by magnificent views in every direction; an area dotted with ancient farming communities and rural villages which is typical of this region. This area is perfect for a truly relaxing holiday away from all the stresses and strains of day to day life, where you rediscover a gentler pace of life. It's also great for enjoying a whole host of outdoor pursuits including some of the very best walks in the UK.

Pateley Bridge

Pateley Bridge is a delightful Yorkshire town with traditional shops, pubs and restaurants and all your amenities on the doorstep. The town is host to the ‘oldest sweet shop in Yorkshire' taking you on a trip down memory lane, and there are shops selling local produce and eateries serving fine Yorkshire fare. The town makes a great base from which to discover the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is Nidderdale and beyond. For those who enjoy walking and cycling there are endless routes to choose from. Brimham Rocks and How Stean Gorge are also great to explore, and for those wishing to venture a little further, the spa town of Harrogate, ancient City of York and cosmopolitan city of Leeds can all be accessed in under an hour. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also a short drive away taking you into the heart of Dales.
