Enjoy the freedom of a location where you can easily reach an amazing variety of different resorts for all kinds of winter and summer activities or simply for sightseeing and getting away from it all. Our apartment is superbly furnished and equipped to make sure you have everything you need for your perfect holiday in the perfect setting - with the best views of Europe's highest mountain!

The apartment is small but beautifully decorated and equipped, with two very comfortable double beds (one is a luxury sofa-bed in the lounge) and a fantastic new fully-fitted kitchen and shower room. The large balcony is ideal for enjoying the sun and eating al fresco.

Our 2-room apartment is superbly equipped and was completely refurbished in 2009. Designed to sleep 1-4 in two double beds, there is a superb balcony with fantastic open views of Mont-Blanc and the surrounding area. Both the bedroom and lounge have large French windows leading to the balcony with full length shutters and curtains.

Perfect for driving to many different and varied ski resorts or excellent spots for snowshowing, hiking and many other outdoor activities all year round, the weather here tends to be sunnier and warmer than in other parts of the Chamonix valley. The roads are well-maintained and cleared of snow in winter, although snow chains and/or tyres are essential for all ski resorts. Free private parking is located just outside the apartment building.

There is free wifi/internet access and free use of the landline for short local calls. An iPod dock and DVD player/flat screen TV are provided and there are UK wall sockets as well as the usual French versions.

The new, modern kitchen is extremely well-equipped including oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and all cooking utensils/crockery.

Towels, bedding and cleaning are all included in your price and the apartment is kept stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials including toilet paper, some toiletries, tea, coffee, sugar, cereal and fresh milk.

There is a small private cellar room for sports equipment, suitcases etc.

Situated on the first floor of a small residential apartment building, there is a free parking space and a small shared garden. Local supermarkets, shops and restaurants are a a few minutes drive away, with the main resort of Chamonix being just 25 minutes by car.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

The region is packed with stunning mountain scenery, with waterfalls, lakes and towns packed with history. In the winter there are 15 ski resorts all within 15 to 60 minutes drive and in the summer there are a wide range of activities available on the doorstep and further afield. The nearest sizeable town is Sallanches (a 10-15 minute drive away) and there are local amenities just a mile up the road. The famous Mont Blanc and the fantastic town of Chamonix are 25 minutes drive.

With Geneva airport just an hour's drive away, the location is particularly good for short breaks, especially if you are house-hunting in the area. The whole area is a skiers' paradise, with more than a dozen ski resorts easily within an hour's drive to suit all styles and abilities!

The Passy area

The Bay area of Passy is highly regarded among locals and has been nicknamed "Petit Nice" for its sunny weather! We ski in the area from mid-November to mid-May with a choice of 2 dozen resorts within an hour's drive.

According to the season, we have skiing/snowboarding, rambling/hiking/snowshoeing, alpinism/mountaineering, paragliding, horse-riding, mountain-biking, rafting, fishing, golf, tennis, swimming, climbing (indoor/outdoor), sightseeing.... we even have our own beach at Lac de Passy and there are lots of mountain walks and hikes that can be done directly from the apartment.

There are numerous local attractions, from thermal spas to natural gorges to museums and festivals.

Italy is just half an hour away through the Mont Blanc Tunnel, and Switzerland is easily accessible via the Chamonix Valley or around Lake Geneva.

“Exactly as is says on the tin” The description is very accurate and the accommodation is really well equipped. We have been able to cook amazing meals using the oven, microwave and hob without any effort. Anything you may need is here! We have rented using James Villas- Best of James, but they do not have patch on this place. In addition the views are indeed amazing, the terrace great. If you like to relax and enjoy this is the place. Everything is close by if you don't mind getting in the car. The information provided is very comprehensive with brochures of local things to do included. Even washing up liquid, olive oil, loo paper is here for your use. This day and age being away from the office is a wrench, not so in this place. Wifi works great and we have been able to work whilst here, so a great new office location found for the future. We are already planning our next trip, this is one of the best places/ areas to visit " in the world"

“Perfect apartment with amazing views” Even before we arrived Sue and Tony were keen to make sure we had a fantastic stay. They provided details of the apartment, weather and directions from the airport. They were there to meet us when we arrived and give us information about things to do places to see and are genuinely passionate about the area. The apartment itself was perfect. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It isn't called Mont Blanc views for nothing and what a view! The balcony overlooks the montain and the valley below and even though we were there in early October the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Gorgeous sunny days, with early mornings spent watching the sunrise over Mont Blanc. The apartment was in easy reach of Chamonix and about 1 hour 30 min from Annecy, which is worth a visit. However you will need a car as you are outside of the main town of Passy and Chamonix centre is about 20 min drive. We visited just as the summer season was almost at an end and the Ski season hadn't started but there was still plenty of places to get out and about to. Whether you are a winter skier or summer moutain biker or walker Chamonix / Passy is a great place and Mont Blanc views is a perfect apartment for your stay.

“Cosy, comfortable and well equiped apartment with the best balcony views ever!” We were given good directions to find the apartment and we were met by the owner who gave us all the local information that we needed. We enjoyed a relaxing week with plenty of good local walking, some directly from the door of the apartment and ranged from very challenging to quite gentle! Only downside was a 2 min drive to the boulangarie for the breakfast bagette, otherwise it was an excellent location and I would recommend to others

“Amazing views from a quality apartment” This was the most fantastic holiday in which the most "over-used" word was "AMAZING"! It's clear from the outset that Sue and Tony want their guests to have the best time possible. Sue met us at the apartment car park, showed us round, and gave us the "low down" on the area. This made a huge difference as, beyond wanting to visit the Alps, we had no special plans. Thanks to her advice we visited Lac Vert up above the apartment, took numerous walks, went to Italy for the day "for a pizza", visited Switzerland for the day and, most amazingly (for me because I had a fear of heights - no longer!) we went in the cable car up the Aiguille Du Midi (next peak to Mont Blanc)! All these activities were fixed by the time Sue had left us that first night! Sue and Tony made it plain that they are very much available for their guests if needed, but kept a low profile when they weren't - which was the perfect balance. The apartment is in a quiet and affluent residential area up above the Passy valley, so it has great and uninterrupted views. It's perfect for a couple, like us, but is equipped for more! Everything we could have wanted was supplied! Not only that, but everything matched, and the apartment has been thoughtfully decorated and equipped. Little details like the matching coffee maker and kettle that also "match" the kitchen decor, the full set of matching crockery (and cutlery), the really nice bathroom decor, and the good quality furnishings and fitments mean that we felt we had stayed somewhere special! Of course, the most stunning feature of Mont Blanc views is...the stunning view! Not only did the ever-changing face of Mont Blanc fill both the French windows to the lounge and the bedroom (we never closed the bedroom curtains at night - whatever time we woke there it was in all it's magnificent glory!) but the view from the balcony over the whole of the Passy valley is just amazing, day and night. We found it so endlessly fascinating that, whenever we were "in", we spent most of our time on the balcony, whatever time of day or night and whatever the weather. And talking of weather, we had brilliant weather, but even the one time when there was mist and rain (for a few hours only) the balcony provides shelter and the sight of mist and cloud swirling round Mont Blanc still kept us out on the balcony - taking photos! I even took photos from the recycling bins - they must have the best views from any "bins" in the World!! This may sound like an over-effusive review, but I could say so much more. We live in a beautiful place but from the moment we got back we missed Passy and have been talking about returning to do all the things we would have fitted in if we'd had more time! So, thank you so much Sue and Tony, we had the most brilliant time and we wouldn't think of looking for a different apartment if -no, WHEN we return.

“Didn't want to leave.” The view is spectacular, the apartment spotless and remarkably well outfitted, and the hosts very thoughtful and helpful. Sue and Tony are excellent "landlords" and soulful souls. It will take a long time to stop missing that wonderful balcony and view. This was the perfect choice for the two of us. The apartment would be crowded with more people, especially in bad weather with the balcony unavailable as add'l living space. The location is good--it's up out of the fray and there are pleasant small towns with food and bakeries just up and down the hill.

“Well appointed apartment with fantastic views of Mont Blanc!” We stayed for eight nights at the end of June 2011, we found the apartment to be very comfortable and has everything you might need including a dishwasher, broadband connection and a very comfortable bed, but the best part is the view over the Chamonix Valley and the Mont Blanc mountain range. Sue (the owner) made us feel very welcome upon our arrival and gave us lots of idea's of where to visit as well showing us around the apartment. We had a fantastic holiday and will be returning.
