The apartment is small but beautifully decorated and equipped, with two very comfortable double beds (one is a luxury sofa-bed in the lounge) and a fantastic new fully-fitted kitchen and shower room. The large balcony is ideal for enjoying the sun and eating al fresco.

Our 2-room apartment is superbly equipped and was completely refurbished in 2009. Designed to sleep 1-4 in two double beds, there is a superb balcony with fantastic open views of Mont-Blanc and the surrounding area. Both the bedroom and lounge have large French windows leading to the balcony with full length shutters and curtains.
Perfect for driving to many different and varied ski resorts or excellent spots for snowshowing, hiking and many other outdoor activities all year round, the weather here tends to be sunnier and warmer than in other parts of the Chamonix valley. The roads are well-maintained and cleared of snow in winter, although snow chains and/or tyres are essential for all ski resorts. Free private parking is located just outside the apartment building.
There is free wifi/internet access and free use of the landline for short local calls. An iPod dock and DVD player/flat screen TV are provided and there are UK wall sockets as well as the usual French versions.
The new, modern kitchen is extremely well-equipped including oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and all cooking utensils/crockery.
Towels, bedding and cleaning are all included in your price and the apartment is kept stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials including toilet paper, some toiletries, tea, coffee, sugar, cereal and fresh milk.
There is a small private cellar room for sports equipment, suitcases etc.

The region is packed with stunning mountain scenery, with waterfalls, lakes and towns packed with history. In the winter there are 15 ski resorts all within 15 to 60 minutes drive and in the summer there are a wide range of activities available on the doorstep and further afield. The nearest sizeable town is Sallanches (a 10-15 minute drive away) and there are local amenities just a mile up the road. The famous Mont Blanc and the fantastic town of Chamonix are 25 minutes drive.
With Geneva airport just an hour's drive away, the location is particularly good for short breaks, especially if you are house-hunting in the area. The whole area is a skiers' paradise, with more than a dozen ski resorts easily within an hour's drive to suit all styles and abilities!
The Passy area
The Bay area of Passy is highly regarded among locals and has been nicknamed "Petit Nice" for its sunny weather! We ski in the area from mid-November to mid-May with a choice of 2 dozen resorts within an hour's drive.
According to the season, we have skiing/snowboarding, rambling/hiking/snowshoeing, alpinism/mountaineering, paragliding, horse-riding, mountain-biking, rafting, fishing, golf, tennis, swimming, climbing (indoor/outdoor), sightseeing.... we even have our own beach at Lac de Passy and there are lots of mountain walks and hikes that can be done directly from the apartment.
There are numerous local attractions, from thermal spas to natural gorges to museums and festivals.
Italy is just half an hour away through the Mont Blanc Tunnel, and Switzerland is easily accessible via the Chamonix Valley or around Lake Geneva.

The description is very accurate and the accommodation is really well equipped. We have been able to cook amazing meals using the oven, microwave and hob without any effort. Anything you may need is here! We have rented using James Villas- Best of James, but they do not have patch on this place. In addition the views are indeed amazing, the terrace great. If you like to relax and enjoy this is the place. Everything is close by if you don't mind getting in the car. The information provided is very comprehensive with brochures of local things to do included. Even washing up liquid, olive oil, loo paper is here for your use. This day and age being away from the office is a wrench, not so in this place. Wifi works great and we have been able to work whilst here, so a great new office location found for the future. We are already planning our next trip, this is one of the best places/ areas to visit " in the world" |

Even before we arrived Sue and Tony were keen to make sure we had a fantastic stay. They provided details of the apartment, weather and directions from the airport. They were there to meet us when we arrived and give us information about things to do places to see and are genuinely passionate about the area. The apartment itself was perfect. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It isn't called Mont Blanc views for nothing and what a view! The balcony overlooks the montain and the valley below and even though we were there in early October the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Gorgeous sunny days, with early mornings spent watching the sunrise over Mont Blanc. The apartment was in easy reach of Chamonix and about 1 hour 30 min from Annecy, which is worth a visit. However you will need a car as you are outside of the main town of Passy and Chamonix centre is about 20 min drive. We visited just as the summer season was almost at an end and the Ski season hadn't started but there was still plenty of places to get out and about to. Whether you are a winter skier or summer moutain biker or walker Chamonix / Passy is a great place and Mont Blanc views is a perfect apartment for your stay. |

We were given good directions to find the apartment and we were met by the owner who gave us all the local information that we needed. We enjoyed a relaxing week with plenty of good local walking, some directly from the door of the apartment and ranged from very challenging to quite gentle! Only downside was a 2 min drive to the boulangarie for the breakfast bagette, otherwise it was an excellent location and I would recommend to others |
