The island is one of the largest in the Cyclades, and is famous for its long sandy beaches, international windsurfing competitions, stunning Cycladic "sugar cube" houses, traditional fishing villages, ancient ruins, remote monastries, rare butterfly valley, and incredible sunlight (Pho).
How to get there
Getting to Paros is easy, with frequent ferries leaving both Rafina Port and Piraeus Port in Athens. Ferry networks between other Cycladic islands, the Northern Aegean islands, and Crete make it easy to island hop to Paros.
Paros also has an airport that offers direct flights to Athens.
