House of Kakti/Luxury Rental
About the home
The house, built in classic Cycladic architecture, has a very spacious terrace, allowing you to live the outdoors to the fullest with its numerous sitting areas. The infinity pool which gazes onto the cacti garden is breathtaking and features a pergola with 4 giant sofas. This is an ideal spot for sunset drinks and afternoon "siestas". The southern positioning of the house minimizes the effect of any "meltemi" wind which usually blows from the north during the summer months. For those clients who love the Cyclades but not the constant northern wind, the "sanctuary" of Farangas and House of Kakti will be a pleasant surprise!
House of Kakti includes 8 bedrooms and is divided into two separate areas, the main house and the guest quarter.
Each bedroom, fully air-conditioned. is designed in its own unique way, with its own large en-suite bathroom. In the main house there are three master bedrooms and two additional bedrooms. One of the master bedrooms resides on the first floor of the house and features two private terraces, whilst the other two master bedrooms are on the ground floor with direct access to the terrace. The two additional bedrooms, larger in size. reside on the lower level of the main house and are very characteristic but have no view of the sea. The guest house faces the main terrace and includes a additional master bedroom and two large bedrooms. The living room in the main house is delightfully cosy and it is complemented by two exterior sitting areas which satisfy the needs of who prefers being in comfort whilst enjoying the scenic outdoors. Having numerous sitting areas provides any extra privacy that might be desired.
The House of Kakti is designed as a summer residence and therefore, the dining area is situated outside under a handcrafted pergola and has a beautiful view of the pool, cacti and Mediterranean sea. Adjacent to the dining area, a fully equipped indoor kitchen with Miele appliances will ensure a flawless tool for those fond of cooking. A BBQ is also located in the rear of the house so as to minimize any unpleasant smoke. House of Kakti is one of the most original properties in the Cyclades and will prove to be a memorable place to spend a tranquil vacation in Greece thanks to its combination of quality interiors, generous outdoors and stunning combinations of colours.
Included in the price is a maid and cook who will ensure that your vacation is relaxing and unforgettable.

Enquire nowThe Aegean Islands region
When you want a place to dream about you have plenty to choose from - they comprise of approximately fifty-six islands, the major ones being Amorgos, Anafi, Andros, Antiparos, Delos, Ios, Kea, Kimolos, Folegandros, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini, Serifos, Sikinos, Sifnos, Syros and Tinos. Most of the smaller islands are uninhabited.
The islands are peaks of a submerged mountainous terrain, with the exception of two volcanic islands, Milos and Santorini (Thera). The climate is generally dry and mild, but with the exception of Naxos the soil is not very fertile: agricultural produce includes wine, fruit, wheat, olive oil, and tobacco.
The Cyclades really are stunning, with magnificent, picturesque, dappled coloured scenery, an excellent climate and a warm welcome, not to mention the fine cuisine and infinite sporting activities which make a visit to any Cyclades island so appealing.
The Paros / Alyki area
Paros is the authentic definition of the Cyclades. One of the larger islands in the Aegean,
Paros offers a wide range of activities, from world-famous wind-surfing beaches, gourmet
restaurants, quiet traditional villages with delicious fish tavernas by the water, religious and
cultural interest to wild nightlife. The airport of Paros is still too small to accommodate private
jets, limiting the access to the island to propeller planes and fast catamarans, which are an
easy and comfortable alternative to travel from Athens in 2.5 hours.
Paros is unique in that it has something for everyone. Young or old, party goers or culture
seekers, bourgeois or bohemians, the island has a loyal following. Contrary to Mykonos,
where one is bound to see and be seen, the more laid back and hedonistic atmosphere on
Paros allows one to remain more incognito. Paros is also one of the most suitable destinations
to rent a villa as these are usually secluded and away from the crowds, yet distances to
where the action is are relatively short.
The numerous beautiful sandy beaches can be from totally deserted to jam packed especially in
August, but the size of the island is such that there will always be spots for those seeking
relaxation and privacy. Having a car while you are there would be advisable if you want to explore
off the beaten track a little and find a hidden gem of a taverna.
The town on Aliki (2 km from the house) has maintained the charm of a 1970's small greek fishing village.
Fish is unloaded at the port and is served fresh every night at prices which are 50% lower than the more trendy towns of the north of Paros (Naoussa and Parikia)
