Home description

You approach the property down a winding lane half a mile off a quiet road and just above the valley of the Baye.The house and enormous garden are protected by hedges and trees, including various fruit trees. The drive is secured by a gate, making it safe for young children.

The house leads straight out onto a paved seating area and then through a lavender bed into the garden. This produces a range of fruit, cherries, various varieties of apples, greengages, plums and apricots, all of which you are welcome to pick when in season.

The grounds are bordered with oak, chestnut, lime and walnut trees. There is a good seating, also a covered barbeque and games which include, table-tennis, croquet and badminton.

15 metres from the house stands the one level very private and heated pool. It enjoys direct sunlight from sunrise to sunset and with its single level affords safe and easy access fro the young and old alike.

Parisot area

Parisot is known as a bastide town, mediaeval walled towns, you will find many in this area. There is a wide and varied choice of restaurants, Michelin guide in the house.

Concerts, jazz, classical and rock most nights within 40 minutes drive. Markets are found at Corde, Villefranche de Rouergue, St. Antonin, Caylus and many others. Albi, a beautiful roman brick town is 45min drive away, famous for it's cathedrale and Toulouse Lautrec museum, here you will also find a golf course. Or, just laze around the pool, grab a book and find your favourite spot in the garden!!

Local airports include: Toulouse-scheduled airlines, Easy Jet, Flybe, Britishairways (11/2 hrs)

There are good main-line train services to local towns from Paris, Najac-(12 min) Caussade (30min.)

Inside: Ground floor: salon, the lower half of a very spacious converted barn with an oak beamed ceiling and comfortable seating for more than six, wood stove and pool table. Stairs go up to the master-bedroom and en suite shower room; French doors lead out to garden and terrace.
Library, full of books and connects the two parts of the house, here you will find the video and an excellent range of films especially for the younger ones.
Shower-room with shower, basin and loo.
Kitchen/dining room, beamed living room with an evier (stone sink), an imposing stone fireplace with a wood burning stove. The room incorporates a well equipped kitchen with a gas hob, electric oven, dish washer, washing machine,micro wave and etc. The dining area contains a beautiful walnt table and dresser.
Upstairs. The large master bedroom, with a high beamed ceiling and en suite shower room, (large shower, bidet, wc and basin ) forms the whole of the upper part of the old barn.
Bedroom 2, large double room, two full sized single beds, ample storage space.
Bedroom 3, with a double bed and ample storage space.
Shower-room, shower, bidet, wc and hand basin.

Further details outdoors:
The house which is south facing is very private and offers the exclusive enjoyment of the pool and gardens. The heated pool 10 x 5m is built as one level, situated just a few metres from the house and set in its own part of the garden, there are also pool loungers. Various other benches and seats are placed around the garden, feel free to move them.
On the terrace is a large table and eight chairs with cushions. Ping pong, badminton and croquet can be enjoyed, there are also large rocks to lie on and enjoy the sun and bird song.


Further details

The house will be completely prepared for you on arrival with all the beds made, the pool ready for a dip and champagne in the fridge. Thereafter the rooms are cleaned and bed-linen changed weekly and the pool monitored twice a week. We are on call throughout your stay.
We provide and change weekly hand and bath towels, please bring your own pool towels.
Telephone, broad band with internet access is free to the UK and French line phones.
The house will be ready from 5.00pm. On the day you leave we ask that you vacate the house by 10.00am


Conditions

On verbally agreeing a renatal we will ask you to complete a booking form and to send us 50% of one weeks rent in order to secure your booking. The reservation will be held for six days to allow the booking form and cheque to arrive. We ask you to pay the balance not later than eight weeks before your arrival date and reserve the right to relet the house if the balance is not paid by then.
A deposit of £300 against damage and leaving the house in an unacceptable state is payable with the final balance. This sum will be returned one week after your departure less any deductions due.
