Treasure Beach is shaped like a horse shoe and consists of five bays. Great Bay, Calabash Bay, Frenchman's Bay, Billy's Bay and Fort Charles Bay. These are very old fishing villages and make up a great part of our rich herritage. Our Tropical Paradise Oasis is located between Billy's Bay and Fort Charles Bay. More and more people are finding the value of taking the path less travelled. Where we are located on the South Coast, we are close to many of Jamaica's most beautiful sights and attractions.

Treasure Beach is becoming a very popular tourist area because of it's natural beauty and the quiet surroundings. Fort Charles has a 7 miles of brown sand beach. The brown sand has the texture of silk.
Treasure Beach some very authentic restaurants such as Jake's and Jack Sprat. Not far away, there is Little Ochi, All Seasons and Alex's. These are known for their seafood, Curry Goat and Jerk Pork and Chicken. Button Bay Beach Getaway has its own private restaurant and we specialize in freshly cooked Lobster, Fish, Jerk Chicken, Pork and Fish as well as Curried Goat.
Button Bay Beach Getaway is within a 30 mile radius of some of Jamaica's most sort after tourist attractions on the Island. We arrange road tours and boat tours from the property.

The area is forty square miles and takes in some of the islands most beautiful untouched spots, such as, Black River, which is the home of the largest river in Jamaica as well as the first place in the island to have received electricity. Black River has very quaint architectural designed buildings. The fret work, the cut stone court house, just to mention a few. Black River is also where you go to see large fishing boats dock as well as the Black River Safari. It was given the name Black River because the river bed is peat. Going for a relaxing cruise up the river, you will see large mangroves, the Black River morass, crocodiles, various species of birds and fish.
Its superb natural beauty and slow moving pace makes Treasure Beach especially appealing to visitors who want to see another side of Jamaica. The perfect alternative to the traditional ‘sea and sand’ tourism, your Treasure Beach vacation experience allows for great interaction between visitors and residents. We call it ‘Community Tourism’.

The Parish of St. Elizabeth abounds with natural and man-made attractions including the Black River Safari, Lover’s Leap, Appleton Estate Rum Distillery, YS Falls, Bamboo Avenue in Lacovia, Apple Valley in Maggoty, Maroon Town, just to mention a few. These all add a wealth of adventure to the experience of the natural scenery. In a day, one can travel by car to the Parish of Manchester and experience the cool misty lofts of Christiana, Mandeville and Malvern, and compare the rain forest of the YS to the arid dessert like the plains of Treasure Beach.
The Parish of St. Elizabeth, which is where Button Bay Beach Getaway is situated, also has a wealth of history.
Treasure Beach is a quiet Village known for its fishing, friendly people and very light skinned people with blue eyes. The reason for this is, during the war, soldiers from Britain, Germany and Scotland settled here. At Fort Charles there was a fort built out of brick where there was a lookout. On the beach at Button Bay Beach Getaway, you will see fresh water bubbling up out of the sand. It is said that these are where the pirates and then soldiers used to get their supply of fresh water.
