This loft is on the right bank, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, less than a minute walk from the Republique and Temple Metro stations, just behind Place de la Republique.
Penthouse style charming loft with views out onto the hip new area everyone is buzzing about the Canal Saint Martin neighborhood. Enjoy lots of open sky views while you sit out on the terrace of this Paris vacation rental, large enough for four people to even dine on, and take in the nice views from the 6th floor of your large THREE bedroom holiday rental flat (Note: this is an open style loft 3 bedroom place- see below for details). Flooded with light from large windows and skylights this home is just over 80 m2 (860 ft2) in size and has an elevator to the sixth European floor. This flat is very quiet and peaceful as well.
Bedrooms: This Paris vacation duplex flat provides 3 bedrooms for up to six adults. It has a 'piece de resistance feature bed' - A large round 6½ foot (2+ meters) diameter bed in the upper loft area which is a semi private with no door. This area is accessed by a large winding, easy to climb staircase with guard rails for the higher section - see photos. This is the equivalent of a large double size bed. Several sky lights with blackout shutters at night for sleeping, really open up the space. There is a second bedroom with a double bed that sleeps two people. Additionally, there is a small 'niche' type third bedroom, which is enclosed by a 'glass-brick' wall, has a window, although do note the door is only a heavy fabric curtain; not a wooden door (please see the picture). This small but comfortable room has a single twin size bed for one adult or child. It is located off the living room. Additionally, one person can use the living room sofa, see grey sofa in pictures, but note this is not a fold-out bed, only a large sofa for which you will be supplied with extra bedding.
Sleeping accommodations - three bedrooms sleeping up to 6 persons:

1 adult on a twin size bed in a small bedroom, having a heavy fabric curtain door
1 adult can use the living room sofa as a bed; this is NOT a foldout
Kitchen & Dining: A large dining room table can easily accommodate 5-6 people and is placed right next to the large sliding glass door windows that accesses the terrace. Everyone can share the day's stories and plan for the next day's activities at the table. The kitchen is of ample size and has all you need including an oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and refrigerator/freezer. Plenty of dishes and cutlery for all.
Bathroom: The bathroom is a pleasure to use for showering, with an extra large 'open-style' shower and rainforest style overhead water. The WC is conveniently separated into another room, where there is also a clothes washer for your use and a drying rack but not a dryer.
Office Space: There is even a small separate studio-office space where guests can work with their laptop if they wish… but remember this is a vacation!
Please note the loft area and the lower part of the stairs up to that area have no guard rail or banister and young children should not be allowed to use the stairs nor should they be allowed to be on the loft.
This apartment requires a "Meet and Greet" - guests will be met at the apartment and given keys at that time.

Canal Saint-Martin, Hôtel du Nord at 102 quai de Jemmapes, Rue du Faubourg-du-Temple. Les quartiers round the Canal Saint-Martin (a 4.55 km long canal) are in the 10th and 11th arrondissements of Paris, between the République, Jacques Bonsergent and Goncourt Metro stations.
With its still waters and locks, the Canal Saint-Martin is one of the most delightful areas of Paris. Its shady banks still show signs of Paris' industrial past, but now it is a place to escape from the busy city, to stroll, to relax or to meet with friends.
There are many interesting shops and restaurants between Rue Beaurepaire and Rue des Récollets, in the heart of 'Boboland'.
A small, fashionable village in the very heart of Paris! Bobo Paris, working class Paris and ever romantic Paris.
You just need to take an evening walk past the Hôtel du Nord on 102 quai de Jemmapes, cross a footbridge beneath the ancient trees to hear the voice of Arletty saying "Atmosphère, atmosphère! Est-ce que j'ai une gueule d'atmosphère?"
This was once a very working class area of Paris but today the Canal Saint-Martin has become very 'bobo' (bourgeois bohème). However, it is still just as romantic with its bridges and its locks. It is still busy with barge and pleasure boat traffic.
Here you might meet actors, producers, IT people, artists, engineers and even the odd journalist but you will also meet families who like to take a walk in this little bit of countryside in the city. On summer evenings people bring their picnics or set up impromptu musical performances.
There are cycle paths, ideal for long bike rides, and since 1994 cars are forbidden to drive in some street on Sundays. This is something that would not have displeased Louis XIV who designed the canal and Napoleon I who began its construction in 1802. It was built to bring water to Parisians, financed by a tax on … wine.

"Very comfortable apartment, helpful contact"
Large and well equipped apartment (specially for Paris), very confortable for two couples with a child. Karim, our contact, was very helpful either. Close to Republique metro station, with a supermarket (Franprix) and an EXCELLENT bakery in the block (300m from the apartment).
