Nestled among the hills of the upper Maremma, our little farm is a beautiful location for a relaxing vacation away from the rest of the world. We rent a portion of our farmhouse to guests. We have a total of 8 beds which can be divided into two completely independent apartments for 2-4 persons.
The farm's primary activity is the production of bread, biscuits and cakes in the typical wood-fired oven. Guests at our farmhouse can learn to make bread and pizza according to traditional Tuscan recipes under the expert guidance of Viola, the farm's owner.

Pari area
From Le Lapole we recommend a visit to: Siena, Val d'Orcia, Petriolo Hot Springs (5 minutes), Florence, Maremma Nature Park, Maremma coast.
The village of Pari is beautiful and perfectly preserved. great views from the top of the hill.
The village festival takes place on the last weekend of September: it is worth a visit.
How to get there
Podere Le Lapole is located near the medieval hilltop village of Pari, halfway between Siena and Grosseto, in Southern Tuscany.
To reach us, you need to get on the highway E78 (Siena-Grosseto), also known as SS223. Exit at Pari or Casale di Pari, follow signs to the village of Pari, then follow signs for Le Lapole. Detailed instructions provided to guests via email.

Further details indoors: Our farm is located in a small valley at the foot of the medieval hilltop village of Pari. We are surrounded by acres of Mediterranean woodland rich in holm oak and arbute trees.
During the summer months the sound of crickets fills the air like that of the nightingales in the month of May.
If you are lucky enough, you might be able to see wild boar, deer or maybe even a porcupine in search of tasty morsels for his dinner.
We are truly immersed in nature.
From the farm, in only a half and hour's time, you can reach the wonderful city of Siena with its "Piazza del Campo", home of the famous "Palio".
Travelling in the other direction, the coast is only an hour's drive away. You can visit the Maremma Nature Reserve Park or relax on the beaches of Castiglione della Pescaia. For a full day out you can visit the Argentario peninsula where you can catch a ferry to the beautiful island of Giglio.
Our farm is fairly isolated, however following the old country road you can reach the village of Pari in less than ten minutes, and fifteen minutes away are the Petriolo thermal baths. These are definitely not to be missed. Hot spring water, rich in sulphur at a temperature of 43°C gushes into the nearby Farma river.
In the village of Pari, only 2 km from the farm, you can find a bar in the village square, a small grocery store, a tabacconists, the hotel/restaurant Il Cacciatore where you can sample traditional Tuscan cuisine and in nearby Leccio there is a family-run pizzeria.
Further details outdoors: It is a farmhouse, so there is plenty of room to spend some time outdoors.
We are an organic farm and have the maximum respect for the environment.
We produce extra virgin olive oil, jams , preserves, vegetables and cereals which we use for baking our bread.
Our wood is used to heat both the entire house and our water, and it also fuels the wood-fired oven which we use weekly in the baking of bread and biscuits.
We regularly attend organic markets where we sell our products.

Stays of less than one week are possible at a price of 35 euros per person in low season or 45 euros per person during high season or when heating is required.

The prices are for parties of 8 people. For up to four people sharing one unit, the rental price is 450 euros in low season and 500 euros in high season.
For weekly stays we charge 40 euros additional cleaning costs for the whole house and 70 euros if heating is required.
