Green Acres is a superb complex of just ten deluxe 4 STAR RATED Cornish stone-faced cottages set in two acres and surrounded by stunning views of the countryside across Luxulyan Woods and Tywardreath Village down towards the sea. Green Acres provides a delightful rural retreat just 3 miles from the Eden Project and the charming 1000 year old stannery town of Lostwithiel and 5 miles from Fowey.
All of the cottages, brand new in September 2008, are furnished and equipped to deluxe standards and have been awarded 4 stars by Visit Britain. Several cottages have private hot tubs and two others are able to accommodate dogs.
There is an indoor heated swimming pool with changing rooms plus shower and toilet. A small children's outside play area is located alongside the pool complex. There is a communal barbecue area in addition to some cottages having their own brick built facility.
A mini ‘garden farm’ is located adjacent to the complex where fresh produce is sometimes available.

Enjoy the cultural centres of Penzance, St Ives, Mousehole and Lands End which all have their own charm. Visit the Minack theatre where you can enjoy an outside performance with an enchanting back drop. Don't forget to bring your picnic hamper and wine! A must for Restaurant lovers is Jamie Oliver's "fifteen" at Watergate Bay. It's a good idea to book on line before you come down to avoid disappointment if you want to eat here!
Newquay boasts the only zoo in Cornwall, where they fully support overseas conservation. The Blue Reef Aquarium allows you to have a close encounter with a shark or stingray! Newquay boasts an excellent tennis centre situated in beautiful Trenance Gardens, and a swimming and fun pool.
Par / Penpillick area
The town of Fowey dates back hundreds of years and as well as being an historic town it is a commercial seaport. The picturesque harbour leads up to the narrow winding streets lined with shops, houses and pretty cottages with their window boxes bursting with colourful flowers. The harbour is flanked by two fourteenth century blockhouses. A passenger ferry connects Fowey and Polruan and further along the river a car ferry runs between Fowey and Bodinnick.
Daphne Du Maurier found inspiration in Fowey to write her novels Rebecca, Frenchmans Creek, The House on the Strand etc. and every year the town hosts the Daphne Du Maurier Festival.
The visitor will find much to enjoy in Fowey, from a gentle stroll along the Esplanade or a more adventurous hike along the cliffs, a spot of sailing or a trip on a pleasure boat, or just to enjoy a cream tea or satisfying meal of locally caught seafood in one of the many pubs or delightful little restaurants.
Fowey has been designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty and its easy to see why!
How to get there
Penpillick by road Follow the A30 past Exeter, then the A38 to Plymouth. Continue along A38 and then take A390 signed St Austell. Go through Lostwithiel and after 3 miles, just past sign for Penpillick, take left turn signed Treesmill and Tywardreath. Then take 2nd right and Green Acres is just 100 yards on the right.

Arriving by plane: Newquay Airport is 20 miles away. Newquay International Airport is 5 miles from Newquay Town Centre. Flights can be arranged through British Airways, Air South West, Ryanair, Lufthansa, Flybe, BMI Baby and Easy Jet. Travel from the airport is available by hire car, taxi or bus. There is a taxi rank close to the arrivals lounge, and a dedicated Western Greyhound bus stop to the west of the terminal building. Transport can also be prebooked with Summercourt travel. DISABLED CLIENTS are most welcome. Whilst unsuitable for those confined to a wheelchair most cottages have level access from the car park. Most cottages have a ground floor shower and toilet and level access to the patio area.
Conditions
All bookings are subject to a booking fee of £20.
A 30% deposit is required in order to confirm the booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks before the commencement of the holiday.
A security bond of £200 is required upon payment of the balance, which is refunded following your departure, in line with our terms and conditions.
Payment can be made by debit card or cheque with no surcharge, or credit card which incurs a 3% surcharge. If you feel happier we are able to take card details over the phone rather than by post on the booking form or email.
