House | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Tamar is an Edwardian villa built in 1904 and with many original period features and is a genuine home form home. With three spacious bedrooms that all have views of the sea or the beautiful countryside it makes a perfect family holiday base. There is a separate lounge and dining room and a high quality modern kitchen as well as a utility room and additional downstairs WC. There is an enclosed private garden to the rear and behind the house a field which you can access.
Tywardreath is a very quiet and unspoiled Cornish village; it is the setting of Daphne Du Maurier's novel 'The House on the Strand'. There are two pubs and a village shop and the house is only 800m walk to Par beach with it's extensive sand and safe swimming. Horse riding and fishing can be found within one mile and the amazing EDEN PROJECT is less than 2 miles away. Cars may be parked off road at the rear of the property, or if you want to be 'car free' it is only a 5 minute walk from Par mainline railway station. The historic ports of Fowey and Charlestown just 4 miles distant. This is a great base for exploring the unique county of Cornwall.
We welcome responsible dog owners and there are many fantastic walks from the door.

"Great Family House, plenty of space and good facilities - perfect for exploring Cornwall"
We had a great time staying in Tamar, the house is beautifully laid out with lots of space for a family. It was very well equipped, especially the kitchen.
A great selection of games were available to keep the kids entertained when not out and about. A huge folder of tourist information, ideas and walk books to help you decide what to do. We particularly loved Bodmin Steam Railway.
It really does feel like a home away from home and we would go back and stay again.
