The Paphos District

Birthplace of Aphrodite and, in Roman times,the capital of Cyprus, Paphos is situated on the southwest coast. Sheltered by the Troodos mountains, it has the healthiest year-round climate in the med. Paphos Harbour with its ancient castle, is alive with restaurants serving fresh fish and marine delicacies. Nearby are archaeological sites,so rich in antiquities, that UNESCO has included Paphos in its World cultural heritage list.

You can enjoy the endless coastline of rocky coves and sandy beaches; swim in the clear blue seas or walk through the fertile countryside.

Nearby there is a water park, aquariaum, a bird sanctury and plenty of other things to keep you amused should you tire of relaxing in the warm sunshine.

Paphos international Airport is approx 20 mins drive away and is well served from the UK, by both schedule and charter airlines. British airways and easyjet both offer scheduled services while monarch and thompson are just a couple of examples of the many charter airlines. All the major car hire companies are represented at the airport. It's also easy to arrange car hire with a local company. Taxis are widely available but it's best to book in advance. A taxi transfer can be arranged at local cost.
