The Paphos District
Cyprus has a Mediterranean climate with more than 330 days of sunshine each year. Temperatures range from 10° C (50° F) in January, which is the coldest month to 38° C (100° F) in August, which is the hottest month. The main rainfall occurs during December-March with little or no rain between June and September.
English is widely spoken Driving is on the left, with signs in English. Paphos is connected to major towns and the airports by motorways which are rarely busy. Cypriots are very friendly and helpful.
There is plenty to see and do in Cyprus but the west of the island is the most beautiful as it has so many different things to see and do - from the unspoiled Akamas Peninsula and the Paphos Forest, to many beautiful beaches, and historical attractions, as well as being home to many of the Greek legends.
Paphos / Kato area
There are many shops, restaurants and bars within 5 or 6 minutes walk. The harbour area of Kato Paphos is very attractive and has a mix of traditional and new cafes and restaurants. The local bus takes you up to the old town of Paphos and also to Coral Bay.
From the local beach there are various water sports such as jet skis, banana boats, paragliding etc. Jeep safaris can be arranged into the Akamas Region or the Troodos mountains. There is a water park close by.
How to get there
From Paphos Airport you have a short car or taxi ride of 25 minutes.
Car is not essential but car hire can be arranged if required. Taxi can also be booked through us.
