The villa located in Paphos area northwest of Cyprus in the pretty traditional Cypriot village of Kathikas (10 munutes driving from Coral Bay in one direction and 10 munutes driving from Latsi/Polis in the other direction) where life revolves around the bustling village square with its supermarket, taverns and its coffee shop. The prominent position of the villa entitles outstanding views fronted by fields of grapevines as far as the eye can see, until they finally give way to the sea beyond. The villa is spacious, airy and well thought out meet with all the families' needs, down to the large private pool (10X5 meters), which ensures there is room for everyone. The villa is modern offering a high standard of accommodation. The bedrooms are bright, airy and tastefully decorated. Guest will find the accommodation of an excellent standard, along with the terrace offering excellent views as the eye can see.

Kathikas Village:- The warmth and rich hospitality you will find here are as sincere and old as Cyprus itself. This is a corner of Cyprus as yet untouched by mass commercial development. Whether your shopping in the local bakery or enjoying a Cyprus coffee at one of Kathikas' 'Kafeneon's' you may well be surprised at the locals interest shown in visitors from cooler climes. Local places of interest include an Donkey Farm where children can take a donkey ride. In or around Kathikas village you will find five restaurants(two within walking distance), a bank and a grocery supermarket.

Cyprus: Cyprus is the third largest Island in the Mediterranean, it is an island of beauty and a country of contrasts. Cool, pine-clad mountains are a complete scene-change after golden sun-kissed beaches. Tranquil, timeless villages are in striking contrast to modern cosmopolitan towns. Luxurious beach side hotels can be exchanged for large areas of natural unspoilt countryside. Yet in Cyprus all distances are easily manageable, mostly on modern roads and highways - with a secondary route or two for the more adventurous. The summers are long and hot, fruit trees buckle under the weight of their bounty as do the vines, the grapes of which go into producing some fine local wines. The Island has long been of great strategic importance and boasts the legacy of many of its occupying empires, fortifications built by the Crusaders still stand. A villa holiday here is idyllic, there is lots to see and plenty to do, the welcome is warm and the weather likewise.
Paphos: The charming west coast town of Pafos focusses around an attractive little harbour whose picturesque open air fish restaurants line a quayside of bright fishing boats and pleasure craft. Pafos has an air of holiday charm combined with history, and olden-day elegance is lent to the town by its classical style buildings in the upper part of town which leads to the shopping area. The lower part of the town - known as Kato Pafos has a life of its own albeit so close by, down near the sea -home of the harbour, the fish tavernas, souvenir shops and several beautiful hotels with important archaeological sites around them. Pafos is entwined with Greek mythology, and the legendary birth of Afrodite on her shores brought fame and worshippers there to follow the cult of the Goddess. Landmarks associated with Afrodite are the chunky, rugged rocks of her beautiful birthshore known as the Afrodite Rocks or "Petra tou Romiou", the evocative sanctuary of Afrodite at Kouklia Village, one-time shrine and scene of pagan festivals for thousands, the Baths of Afrodite at Polis, supposed source of fertility and the Fountain of Love, or Fontana Amorosa, a few miles further into the Akamas Peninsula.

We found the villa to be spotlessly clean, spacious and very well placed for the local restaurants and shop. The mountain air was clean and fresh and the pool, although the water was cold and bracing in October, was large and more than suitable for swimming or playing. The villa was within easy access for Paphos, Limassol and the beaches of Pissouri and Coral Bay. The local people were friendly as were Savvas, the owner. The welcome pack on arrival is the best we've ever experienced. We were so impressed with our stay that we have already booked the same week next year!
