The Paphos District
Sourthern Cyprus is surrounded by the warm mediterranean sea, making it ideal for sunworshipers and watersports. It has beautiful scenery ideal for walking. It boasts wonderful beaches with a superb sunshine record. With its wealth of ancient history it has many archaeological ruins as well as historical sites. Unspoilt countryside where tradition is still a way of life. You can enjoy the souvenir shops which has hand made lace, pottery and leather goods. Beachside restaurants serve fresh seafood or you may prefer the lively bars and disco's which go on until early hours of the morning.
Paphos area
There is a variety of bars and restaurants some with entertainment offering dishes to suit all tastes and ages. A short bus ride away there is Aphrodites Waterpark, Go-Karting, Horse Riding and crazy golf. For the more serious golfer there is the Aphrodite Hills Golf Resort (details on request) In the harbour there is booking agents for a variety of watersports and boat trips from 1 hour to 3 days, also trips to the Pyaramids, Egypt. Cyprus caters well for children with many excusions developed with their entertainment in mind. There is a variety of archaeological mosaics and other artifacts to keep the historian interested. The Tomb of the Kings ancient burial ground is worth a visit. In the old town there is a regular market which should not be missed for a Cypriot bargain or fresh local produce.
