The Paphos District
Paphos has all you can ask for. From its ancient beginnings which you can visit at the archeological site at the harbour, Paphos has developed into a resort that has something for almost everyone. The people are friendly, the weather is sunny almost all year round and, given its English connections, English is spoken by most people and they drive on the left. Even the road signs are in both languages! Eating out can be different every evening with everything from mezes to moussaka, fresh fish to french fries and fast food to five star cuisine. Some restaurants and bars have entertainment whilst others are there simply to let you soak up the atmosphere as the world passes by. Shopping is great in Cyprus too. Stores such as Debenhams, Marks and Spencers, Next and Adams sit next to local shops and stores. Paphos is a great base for a Cypriot holiday, whether you choose to relax at the villa or chill at a harbour front cafe or explore everything else that Cyprus has to offer....
Paphos area
Paphos abounds with numerous pubs, clubs, tavernas and restaurants nearby. Cycling, horse-riding, go-karting, hiking are just a few of the many activities available. There are English-language cinemas in the town and concerts are held in front of the mediaeval fort and at the ancient Odeon. Paphos also has a number of fascinating museums and UNESCO World Heritage sites to visit. Paphos is now a small harbour town, but in Hellenistic and Roman times it was the capital of Cyprus, founded by King Kiniras in 1400 BC. Among the many treasures unearthed, are a large number of remarkable mosaics beautifully preserved after 16 centuries under the soil. There are mysterious vaults and caves, the Tombs of the Kings, the ancient Odeon Theatre and other places of interest including the various Museums. If you are a history or a cultural bluff then you won't sit still for a minute! Many monasteries and churches are accessible from Paphos, as are the Birthplace of Aphrodite, Aphrodite's Baths, Adonis Falls, reservoirs and mountain forests. There is skiing and snowboarding from January to March on Mount Olympus in the Troodos Mountains, about 2 hrs drive from Paphos. If you are hardy, you can ski in the morning and swim in the sea on the afternoon! There are 3 championship 18 hole golf courses (par around 71/72) within easy reach. Tsada Golf club is 20 minutes drive from Paphos, Secret Valley golf course is about 20km east of Paphos and there is a popular 5 star course, Aphrodite Hills slightly further on. Despite it's dry Summers Cyprus boasts 5 world class waterparks with everything for the family for an exciting day out. Cyprus is a place of sun, snow, sand and everything inbetween. It is an amazingly varied island with an equally amazing history, there is an abundance of activities for young children and adults alike. Equally so, many people go to Cyprus each year with nothing more in mind than to relax. Whatever you come to Cyrpus to do, we can guarantee you will enjoy every minute of it.

Guestbook
Irene, Chelmsford "We had a lovely week based at this property, which was very clean and spacious and met all our expectations. Although we hired a car we did in fact tend to walk down to the harbour and "bar street" area rather than drive and once we had worked out the best route this did take us only about 15 minutes. As luck would have it Jan and Dave were on holiday the week we were there (although we met them on our last day - lovely couple) but Jan had arranged for someone else (David) to look after us in their absence. When we arrived the swimming pool filters were not working but I put a call into David and he had the pool maintenance guys round and the problem fixed within a matter of a couple of hours or so. We couldn't have asked for better service. Lovely Holiday, thankyou!"
Mal from Blyth
"We found the villa to be well kept and in a quiet mainly British populated location, but within walking distance of nearby supermarketes, restaurants and shops. The harbour and local beaches were roughly a 20 minute walk away. The local couple who look after the villa (Jan and Dave) on behalf of the owner, could not do enough for us, eg arranging airport pick-up/drop-off, providing the tailored grocery pack we requested, or helping us whenever we needed advice and guidance on places of interest, eating out etc., and how to get there. They definitely made us very welcome and helped to ensure our holiday was that bit more friendly and special."
Mick Donnelly, Australia "A very luxurious property for the price. The location is ideal, just far enough from all the excitement to be able to relax in the peaceful surroundings and only a few minutes walk from the shops and bars so your never far away from the action. I think this is ideally suited for couples and families."
