Villa | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Looking for a quiet relaxing get away from it all location to recharge your batteries and spend quality time with your friends and family then this is it. Party animals this is not for you - try Kato Paphos or Ayia Napa!
How can I best describe Owls Rest - imagine you have a Cypriot YiaYia (Grandmother) she would live in a place like this - a welcoming home where there are large outdoor terraces where the family would congregate and enjoy family meals - where the children can play in the garden and where there is an abundance of fruit trees - pear, apple, orange and lemons which you are welcome to help your self to when they are ripe of course! No dress code to worry about just bring your shorts, tops, flip flops and swimwear and you are all set! The pool is at the back of the house and you have complete privacy and the house is at the end of a lane. This is the sort of home that is Owls Rest - sorry Yia Yia is not there to cook so you will have to fend for yourself but the restaurants nearby offer a takeaway service!
Custom built villa set in the heart of the countryside with spectacular views to the sea over open fields. On the outskirts of Timi village and a short drive from the Paphos airport. Timi is a quiet village with a range of shops and taverns - home to the weekly market when all the locals come to get the fresh fruit and veg, have a look at the stalls and enjoy time to chat with friends and family - also close by is Anarita and Mandria and you must try the Cyprus night at Koulkia.
The house has all the modern requirements for relaxing 21st Century lifestyle so you have WiFi (25 euros 1 week) and Sat Tv (Nile Sat with a range of movie channels, news etc.) There is airconditioning in all the rooms and the open plan living / dining room has an open fire for the cool winter evenings. The kitchen has a fridge freezer, cooker and hob and washing machine and is fully equipped.
The spacious master bedroom is confortably furnished with a king sized bed build in wardrobes and a lovely window seat for when you want to curl up and relax and read a book. There is air con and an ensuite shower room and the bedroom has patio doors leading to the veranda.
The second bedroom has a double bed and built in warbrobes and dressing table - there is air con to cool and heat the room according to the season. The room has character touches like the ceiling beams and the arch shaped windows.
Next to the 2nd bedroom is the family bathroom - large bath and shower over and a vanity unit. The walls are painted wood in a traditional style but up to the proper standands - no tissues in the bins here just flush as normal!!
The third bedroom is a charming room with 2 single beds and is off the main living room so ideal for the children.
Outside is something else...this is not your standard holiday let on a new modern development with lots of houses nearby. The gardens are spacious and there are scented plants to perfume the night air - the skies are so clear here so perfect for star watching! You can see ( but not hear) the airport nearby so if plane spotting is your thing you will love it!
There is a Gas BBQ for your alfresco dining and the large veranda that goes the length of the property has areas for seating and dining and if you want a shady spot for a siesta this is it! The pool is right next to the veranda and there are sun beds to relax and sunbathe. The gardens are home to lots of lizards who are timid creatures who like to sunbathe on the hot tiles - they are great for eating any insects so just let them do their thing! To the side of the house is the fruit trees - all sorts of fruit - oranges and lemons of course! and a pear tree that is overflowing with fruit this year and then there are apples and other trees too many to list.
