Sleeps 6 to 8, with 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin room, and 1 room with a very comfortable double sofa-bed. 3 bathrooms, large private swimming pool, stand-up fans. Spacious open plan living/dining room, open fireplace. Excellently equipped kitchen & utility rooms - American fridge/freezer, gas hob, combi-microwave etc. granite worktops throughout.
Stroumbi has a taverna, kiosk, bakery and coffee shop of it's own, and it is only 15-20 minutes drive from Paphos or Polis with their multitude of shops, restaurants, banks & large supermarkets. Ideally situated for golfing, walking & horse-riding with easy access to the coast and beaches at Polis, Paphos, Coral Bay and the Akamas. Perfect choice for those seeking a high quality home in the open countryside. Spectacular, breathtaking views of rolling countryside down to Polis Chrysachou Bay and across to the Troodos Mountains. The fishing village of Latchi is just a further 5 minutes drive where you can take a boat trip round the unspoilt Akamas peninsular, try your hand at the numerous watersports on offer or just relax in one of the harbour-front fish tavernas.

The Paphos region
Cyprus, the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, is said to enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine each year. English is widely spoken and life is slow-paced. Food is fresh, the people are friendly, and in true Mediterranean style, love children, with the comfort of knowing that crime levels are lower than in most Western European countries. Ruins and monasteries abound as do beaches & sports, nightclubs, shops, pubs and restaurants.
The Paphos Town / Stroumbi area
Paphos harbour and castle provide a central point for visiting the fascinating Roman mosaics. Close by are the famous ruins of the Tombs of the Kings and the Catacombs of St. Solomi. From Stroumbi, the roads provide easy access to Cedar Valley, the wine-tasting areas of Kathikas, over the Akamas and across to Peyia, Coral Bay and Lara Bay. Just as easy to reach by car are Polis & Latchi, Argaka and beyond past to Kato Pyrgos.

This was our fourth visit to Villa Faros. It is fantastic. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a huge lounge, kitchen and, of course, a pool. Everything is provided that you could ever need. A car is essential as it is in a secluded spot that overlooks and valley and the sea. If we eat out we use Yiannis in Kathikas and we went to St. Barbara's along the coast from Polis this time. If you want a holiday in Cyprus but without the crowds and noisy bars, this is the place. We cannot rate it highly enough and it shows as we keep going back! |
