The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Pamporovo lies in the beautiful Rhodope mountain region just 85km south of the Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv. The Rhodope range is characterised by magnificent pine forests, green meadows and mountain peaks bathed in sunlight. Pamporovo boasts a fantastic snow record as well as being the sunniest ski resort in Europe, having more than 120 days of sunshine a year with an average snow layer of 140 to 150cm. The average temperature never falls below -7C. The climate in winter is in fact mild with a Mediterranean influence with snow 150 to 200 days per year.

Pamporovo / Pamporovo Centre area
Pamporovo has something for everyone. The après ski is quite lively and there are many restaurants to suit both adults and children. You can also relax in the alpine bars and restaurants or retire to your own apartment for that well earned rest before embarking on the next day’s activities.
The ski tracks of Pamporovo have all degrees of difficulty and is particularly well suited to beginners and intermediates having one of the best ski schools in Europe, which is recommended for both beginners and experienced skiers. Highly qualified instructors speaking at least two foreign languages, train beginners both in groups or individually. Specialists will help you to snow board as well if that is your preference. The ski tracks of Pamporovo have all degrees of difficulty with most tracks starting from the very peak and there is three cross-country runs. There are 9 ski-wardobes near the tracks where you can find over 2000 ski outfits and equipment, snow-boards and sleighs. Skiers who bring their own equipment can also use these wardrobes for safe keeping.

How to get there
Pamporovo is located in the beautiful Rhodopi mountain region to the south of the Bulgaria with the nearest airport located at Plovdiv, which is less than 1.5 hours drive away (85km). Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria is served by many UK Charter airlines throughout the skiing season. Alternatively, you can travel from Sofia (3 hours drive, 260km). Sofia is served by many schedule air lines such as Air France, British Airways etc and discount airlines such as Easy Jet and Wizz Air.
Car hire is also available at both airports from companies such as Avis or Hertz or many others.

GBP 100 refundable deposit required to cover possible breakages returned on departure should everything be in order. This is payable in Pamporovo on apartment key collection.
