The Grand Monastery Pamporovo is a two bedroom apartment, set on the top floor of a five storey building with panoramic views and serviced by a lift. This is a ski in/ ski out property. It is a 5 star complex with first class facilities including swimming pool, bowling and spa facilities
The living area is distributed between a corridor, a living room with a kitchen, two bedrooms, two WC/ bathrooms and a terrace. The flooring in all the rooms is covered with terracotta tiles. All the windows here have PVC frames. The bathrooms and the toilets are finished with faience and terracotta tiles. The walls are with insulation. Additionally there is a fireplace in the living room that adds to the coziness and warmth of the apartment. Additional convenience is the presence of a cable TV, and wifi.
The complex has a wonderful location being next to a beautiful pine forest and the ski rental and ski school is located 1 minute walk away. The Rhodopi Mountains are famous with its rich cultural and historic heritage, wonderful opportunities for hiking, horse riding and winter sports. These ski slopes are ideal for beginner and intermediate skiiers and snowboarders. The green slopes is to the rear of the complex, which can be seen from the apartment balcony.

The hotel itself offers excellent SPA facilities, a bowling, a restaurant, a tavern, a lobby bar, a night bar, a piano bar as well as parking.
The apartment has electric heaters in all rooms. The lounge area has a double sofa bed, a log fireplace and cable TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped and both bedrooms has wardrobes and chest of drawers.
About this location
The Smolyan Province region
Pamporovo is set in the southern Rhodope Mountains at an altitude of 1620 meters above sea level. The highest peak in the area, Snezhanka at 1928 m, is several hundred metres above the resort. Pamporovo is around 260 km away from Sofia (airport), 85 km south of Plovdiv, 15 km north of Smolyan.
It is set amongst extensive pine forests and is primarily visited during the winter for skiing and snowboarding. It is also a popular tourist destination in summer. The hub of Pamporovo comprises of a number of hotels and bars. It is also one of the southernmost skiing resorts in Europe being close to the border with Greece.
The resort has 25 km of ski-runs and 38 km of cross-country skiing tracks served by 18 lifts with a total capacity of 8500 people per hour. Four snow-levelling machines and six snow cannons guarantee skiers comfortable and enjoyable downhill rides. More than 100 highly qualified ski instructors, fluent in various languages, are available to aid both beginners and intermediate skiers as well as snowboarders.
The winters in Pamporovo tend to be mild, but have around 150-200 days of snowfall each year. This combination allows for a long skiing season. Pamporovo is renowned for its large number of sunny days during the winter, often topping 120 days from December to May. The average January temperature is 3 degrees Celsius (or 37.4 F).
If visiting during the summer, lifts operate all year round. With the new motorway opened from Pamporovo to Greece, you will be able to drive from the border to the Greek coast in under 1.5 hours to enjoy the sun, sea and sand!
Pamporovo has numerous night-clubs , discos and restaurants. Ski carnivals and ski shows are on various nights of the week and are great entertainment for kids.
Walking and Trekking - there are extensive walks and treks in the surrounding mountains, ranging from hours to days in length. Walks can be conducted independently, or through organised treks.
Kayaking, canoeing and white water rafting - In addition to whitewater rafting and canoeing facilities, there are several beautiful lakes in the Rhodopes which are popular with kayakers
Mountain biking - certain ski lifts allow cyclists to take their bikes up the mountain to enjoy the return ride!
Caving and rock climbing - with the opportunity to attend courses in both of these skills
Fishing - There is excellent trout fishing, along with pike, carp and bream, to name but a few in the mountain streams and lakes around Pamporovo.

"Lovely flat, just what we needed"
