This superb 3 bedroom penthouse apartment is situated above Pamporovo, and just below mid station. It is superbly situated amongst the pine trees next to a green piste for easy in/out doorstep ski-ing. With its cosy log fire, LCD tv, DVD, CD/MP3 player and PS2 it is ideal for both families and groups of friends.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region

Pamporovo is at the heart of the Rhodope mountains some 250Km from the capital Sofia and just 85Km from Plovdiv. It is the southern most ski resort in europe and is only 1.5 hours from the Greek border.
In the summer the mountains are ideal for walkers, horse riding and mountain biking. The lifts run in summer so no need to pedal up hill!!
Resort altitude is 1650M
Average winter daytime temperature is a pleasant -3C
Average snowfall of 1.5M
Ski season is December thru to April and has average winter sunshine of 120 days

Pamporovo area

Pamporovo has excellent ski areas for beginners/Intermediates and has one of the best ski schools in Europe.
Ski instructors speak excellent English aswell as other languages. Ski/Snowboarding lessons can be individual or groups and there are ski kindergarden for the small children.
In the centre of Pamporovo there are lively bars for that Apres Ski experience that every skier talks about on his return home! There is even a night club for those that are'nt to tired!
On the slopes there are plenty of places to pull over and have a donut and shot of local brandy, very warming!!
Learning to ski/board in Pamporovo compared with French resorts is excellent value for money. Ski/board hire, lessons and lift pass can be combined for as little as £110
Eating out in the evening at excellent restaurants, 3 courses with wine is less than £10 per person.

How to get there

In winter fly to either Sofia (Transfer 3 hours to Pamporovo) or Plovdiv (Transfer 1hr 15 mins to Pamporovo)
Gatwick or Heathrow with major airlines. Best priced have been Air Bulgaria, Wizz Air and BA.
Local airports offer charter flights to Plovdiv in the winter.
Transfers can be via car hire www.tany97.com , buses, taxis or pre-arranged transfers can be booked (Approx £35 per person, return)
Summer flights only to Sofia and car hire is recommended with an easy 3 hour drive to Pamporovo

The apartment is comfortably furnished and includes open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area with everything required for a pleasent stay. Bring your own CDs, DVDs and PS2 games for cosy nights in front of the log fire. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes fridge/freezer, oven/hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, toastie and fresh coffee maker.
The bedrooms are all an excellent size. Two bedrooms are twin bedded with wardrobes, dressing tables and plenty of hanging space for ski jackets, etc.
The third bedroom has three single beds (one pulls out from underneath a single) and is ideal for the kids or would comfortably sleep 2 adults.
Included with the apartment is a large ski/boot locker (No21) for guests personal use.

The Castle complex has a large 24hr reception, bar with log fire and Bulgarian terrace restaurant (BBQ in the summer). Complex facilities (for a small charge) include Gym, Sauna, Jacuzzi, solarium and massage. There are swimming pools and spa's in the nearby 5* Hotels in the centre of Pamporovo. There is a food shop next to reception for all your essentials.
Ski/board and boot hire available at the complex..
Shuttle buses run from the complex to the centre of Pamporovo and ski school/lift location for complete beginners.
Inexpensive local bars and fine dining restaurants are a 10 min walk, taxi or bus ride away for those that want to eat out or sample some lively apres ski!
Summer facilities will include Quads, trial bikes, mountain bikes and horse riding excursions.
4x4 excursions can be arranged with a local british company and are personally recommended.

A discount of £50 is offered for an occupancy of 3 people and under.

Any damages/breakages must be paid for and a breakage deposit will be requested with final balance payment.
