Four seasons retreat is a large house spread over 3 floors. A stunning spiral staircase runs from the top to the bottom of the house and provides access to the bedrooms and lounges. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The 3 large open plan lounges/kitchens/dining rooms [which can seat 16 at the tables etc] are located on each floor and are fully furnished with all modern amenities that you would expect from a quality property. A Ski room is provided for storing and drying ski equipment at entrance to house.
The balconies offer spectacular views of the village and Greek mountains in the distance they are perfect for enjoying a hot drink after a day spent on the ski pistes.
This location is great for skiers and snowboarders alike. Momchilovtsi offers a brand new piste for snowboarders [5 km] in the heart of the Rhodopi Mountain area. The nearby towns of Chepelare [20 mins] and Pamporovo [15 mins]also offer ski slopes, so you will be spoilt for choice when choosing your resort.
Groups and families will find this property great because they can share the house but keep their family units separate on each floor. This house is also great for large groups of friends. Couples on their own can also be accommodated. The village provides many hiking trails,mountain bike tracks and other activities such as 4X4 off-roading days, tours around the 24 chapels surrounding the village or just walking amongst the local fauna.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
The Rhodope Mountains are located on the Bulgarian and Grecian border. The majority of the mountain range is located in Southern Bulgaria with around 30% situated in Greece.
The region is influenced both by the colder air coming from the north and by the warmer breeze from the Mediterranean. This milder climate makes for great skiing conditions as can be seen in the Pamporovo resort, where the micro-climate permits a heavy snow cover to be preserved for a long time.
The area has been a centre for religious and ethnic diversity for hundreds of years. This includes Bulgarian, Greek and Muslim communities. Also home to the Karakachans, an Eastern Orthodox nomadic people of uncertain origin that traditionally roam between Northern Thrace and the Aegean coast.
The Rhodopes are also the mythological birthplace of lyre playing Orpheus and his wife Eurydice. There are many archaeological sites in the area including the ancient Thracian city of Perperikon which is related to the cult of Dionysis. Queen Rhodope of Thrace is said to have been turned into the Rhodope Mountains by Zeus and Hera as a punishment.
Pamporovo / Momchilovtsi area
Momchilovtsi is a popular ethnographic centre that has preserved its original folklore, traditions and crafts. It also offers a brand new piste for snowboarders in the heart of the Rhodopi Mountain area. The snow park is attractive because it is brand new and still not commercialized and a small piste is serviced by two mini drags. The nearby resorts of Pamporovo (the most exclusive resort in Bulgaria) and Chepalare also offer great skiing, so you will be spoilt for choice when selecting your ski runs.
If you need a break from all that exercise then fear not because there are plenty of other activities to keep you entertained. They include but are not limited to: Hot springs spa therapy, The Devil’s Cave, The Observatory, Walking & Hiking in groups or alone, Mountain Biking, Climbing, Guided Walks, Trekking, Quad Biking and Canoeing & Kayaking (nearby 15km stretch of white water).
How to get there
Nearest airport is Plovdiv 80km. Alternatively Sofia is used and although further away it is also normally cheaper. Cheap flights to Sofia from: Bulgaria air, Wizz air, Easy Jet, charter flights, Alitalia, Austrian, CSA.
Transfers can be arranged to and from airports. Jordan at www.psl-bg.com can supply hire cars at very reasonable prices if you prefer to drive yourself or Jordan of the above company will pick you up and take you back.
He also does transfers to and from the ski slopes daily.
