About the home

Las Piñas is a well equipped and attractive linked villa in quiet and beautiful surroundings. It is only 7-minutes walk to the long sandy beach, restaurants, tennis and shops. Walk a few more minutes to a hidden away swimming cove, golf, cliff top views of the ocean. The house is personally owner managed for your comfort. Las Piñas has its own hedged and gated garden which leads to large beautiful gardens with shared swimming pool of approximately 14 metres in both directions. There is a good separate pool for young children. The sparkling pools are under-used.

Park outside the villa and in an allocated space within the development. You will find the house clean and bright with wide windows all opening to good views. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and black-out blinds. The master-bedroom is air-conditioned. All windows are insect screened. Beds are made up for your arrival and there are lots of soft fluffy pillows. Stay more than a week and we will do a weekly clean and change sheets and towels. Wi-Fi is available close by.

Babies and toddlers will be comfortable with optional insect screening on all windows . Baby equipment is available on request and a travel cot is kept in the house. There is a second toddlers pool that is shallow enough for an adult to sit or kneel in the water.

There is a lovely small playground at the bottom of our road. Golf and tennis are close by.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia/Barcelona region

Catalonia was once an independent principality and is now a very productive province of Spain. Original settlers were the Iberians and the Celts. Here, we are only 90 minutes from the border with France and you can imagine the dual influences seen in food and language.

This area of the Costa Brava is known for the stunning coastline of hidden swimming coves that run south of this villa -- and the long beach that runs north. Las Piñas is set on the border of Pals and Begur districts. You will be able to walk in a handful of minutes to either the wide beach or intimate coves.

Above the beaches rise green hills with medieval towns offering breathtaking views. From the villa you can walk to beaches and on marked trails through forests. Or drive quickly to Pals medieval town and on to Begur hill town and other small towns set by swimming and fishing coves. Restaurants are varied and excellent.

Immediately inland are farms & vineyards still traditionally owned and operated. The beautiful old Catalan farm houses are a trademark of the area. Centuries old, their massive walls are made of the local rose coloured stone and they are framed by Cyprus trees.

The Pals / Playa de Pals area

The charms of this area are not known to everyone as there are no large hotels and no multi-story apartments. Here, it is very warm in the summer and cool and sunny in winter.


You can drive from villa Las Piñas to the beautiful old medieval town of Pals and climb to the top of the town for a Birdseye view of the surrounding countryside. Then carry on to Begur hill town, other medieval towns and villages or explore Girona and Barcelona with best quality Within an hour and half of our villa you can be in the high Pyrenees, taking wagon trips or the rack train through the mountain forests or going hiking in summer, skiing in winter.

A land with the sparkling blue Mediterranean on one side and the high Pyrenees on the other. The local markets are real farmer’s markets and the restaurants very good..

“Great Villa with beautiful gardens and shared pool” The house along with the shared gardens and pool are beautiful. The Owner Wendy is very helpful all the way from providing detailed maps locating the villa, guidance on local area, through to the loan of inflatable toys for the beach We stayed a week in August and all four of us had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

“Great location, facilities & assistance from owner” Villa provided a great base to explore this area. Close to beach, 5 mins walk. Good restaurants in Pals and local area. Villa had all that we needed including UK sat TV for Olympics coverage. We will certainly return

“Lovely garden and pool area.” Very pretty garden and pool area. Lounge opens onto small garden which is secured by a gate to prevent little ones from straying into comunal garden and pool area. Owners very helpful both prior to arrival and during our stay. Close to well stocked supermarket and the long, sandy beach (10-15mins walk).

“Beautiful villa and surroundings and 5 star service from owners” Wendy the owner was unbelievably helpful from the point where we booked the holiday all the way through to our departure date. She helped us source a cheap taxi from Perpignan airport and gave us more help and advice than I could possibly have imagined. The villa itself is spotlessly clean, well equipped and in the most beautiful garden setting with the beach, restaurants and shops within walking distance. We had teenagers and a baby but there was something for everyone and it was a safe enough environment to let the teenagers go exploring by themselves for a couple of hours. Hire a car for a few days to get the best out of the stunning surrounding areas but everything you will need is within reach if you just want to relax and stay put. We would definitely visit again.
