Bus in promenade from the port to the airport and all the populations of the bay and surrounding area (Pamanova, Magalluf, Santa Ponsa, Andraxt, etc)

The Mallorca/Majorca region

Palma is the major city and seaport geographically located in the south-west of Majorca. The city lies on the large coastal Bay of Palma in the western Mediterranean Sea. Palma is famous for La Seu, its vast cathedral originally built on a previous mosque. Although construction began in 1229 it didn't finish until 1601 and local architect Antoni Gaudí was drafted in during a restoration project in 1901. The Parc de la Mar (Park of the Sea) lies just south overlooked by the great building which sits higher than it on the city's stone foundations. One of the few European circular castles the Bellver Castle is a Gothic-style construction built between 1300 and 1310. It houses the City Historical Museum, which contains pieces from archaeological excavations, municipal art collections and the Despuig Classical Sculpture Collection. It also houses the chapel of Saint Marc, patron saint of the castle.

The Palma / Paseo Maritimo, Mallorca area

Palma is a great city in which tradition and the modern life combine. An example of this is the Paseo Maritimo (seafront),a route you can stroll along whilst enjoying a sea breeze and a spectacular view of the Cathedral.
The walk can begin at the foot of the Cathedral, in what used to be the sea but is now a park: el parc de la Mar. Many cultural events take place here during the summer, near the salt-water lake, the children's play areas, sculptures and bars. Starting the walk, we step on to the Paseo Maritimo, a broad avenue of six lanes that run alongside the sea. Here you find big hotels and nightclubs. There are 700 palm trees planted along here,some in the central pavement and others grouped in small garden areas. This route can also be done by horse and cart. There are windmills turned into discos, that provide a picturesque air to the walk. You also pass by the Club Nautico, one of the most important of the Mediterranean area and known the world over for being the headquarters of the Copa del Rey de Vela regatta.

The apartment is about 10 km from the airport of Palma de Mallorca. Stop taxi upon leaving the terminal. The journey from the airport to the apartment takes about 15 minutes. To go by bus from Airport: Take bus number 1 at the airport and get off at seafront promenade at the door of Tito's nightclub and behind is the street Luis Fabregas.
