Myself, my sister and two girlfriends (all in our 30s) stayed here for a week in Sept 2011. In advance, we found the owner incredibly professional, unsurprising as she works in the hospitality industry.
The apartment itself is rustic and charming, but with all the mod cons you'd need. We particularly appreciated the tv and dvd player for those nights when we just fancied chilling out. It's quite spacious, even with four of us staying there and we found it very conveniently located. The only two downpoints for me were that the bathroom is really only functional (though clean of course) and there is no air conditioning (though there are plenty of windows and fans so actually it wasn't too much of a problem).
Santa Catalina itself is a great district with loads of restaurants and bars, and the apartment is a good base to explore it from. It's also 5 mins away from the bus stop to go to the beach, 10-15 mins from the city centre, and the same from the port.
My friends and I all loved staying in the apartment and I would certainly rent it again (and probably will next year!). Overall, it's extremely good value for money and well priced.
