Third floor comfortable self catering apartment which is an ideal base for discovering the beautiful city of Palma and surrounds. Recently redecorated, the accommodation comprises a double bedroom and twin bedroom (2 x single beds), large living room with corner sofa, multi channel TV, DVD and film library, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, utility room, and shower room.
The apartment has use of a large communal balcony with mountain views, ideal for an early evening drink or breakfast al fresco! Free parking is available on street.
The apartment is within walking distance of the port, the old town, with a great choice of restaurants and bars nearby. Also close to excellent bus links to areas and beaches outside the city, and the entertainment/ shopping centre at Porto Pi. The apartment is well served with local amenities including local supermarket, fruit shop, bakeries and international news stand all nearby.

Mallorca is the largest of the four Balearic Isles and has an international airport with excellent air links to all Europe. Mallorca has good weather all year round making it an ideal destination for tourists. The island offers the variety of sandy beaches and mountainous regions, making it popular for both beach holidays and walking / cycling tours. Golf holidays are also very popular. Palma is a great base from which to discover the whole island, with excellent transport links by car, rail and bus.
The Palma / Santa Catalina area
The capital of Mallorca, Palma is a sophisticated and historic city by the sea. It offers something for everyone including culture with its many museums and galleries, stunning architecture, designer shopping and a vibrant night life with both stylish and traditional bars and restaurants. Famous Palma sites include Palma Cathedral, Bellver Castle, the Royal Palace, the port and Pablo Espanyol - the celebration of Spanish architecture which is within easy walk.
Santa Catalina is a trendy central residential area within Palma, 5 minutes walk from the port and the historic old town. It is renowned for its concentration of exciting restaurants and bars, including some Michelin star rated. Santa Catalina is also within 10 mintues walk of some of Palma's most famous clubs.

The city of Palma is just 10 minutes car drive from Pama airport. Free parking is available at the apartment on street. The local bus service number 1 operates from the airport to Palma every 15 minutes cost 1€85. A taxi will cost approximately 20€.

Myself, my sister and two girlfriends (all in our 30s) stayed here for a week in Sept 2011. In advance, we found the owner incredibly professional, unsurprising as she works in the hospitality industry. The apartment itself is rustic and charming, but with all the mod cons you'd need. We particularly appreciated the tv and dvd player for those nights when we just fancied chilling out. It's quite spacious, even with four of us staying there and we found it very conveniently located. The only two downpoints for me were that the bathroom is really only functional (though clean of course) and there is no air conditioning (though there are plenty of windows and fans so actually it wasn't too much of a problem). Santa Catalina itself is a great district with loads of restaurants and bars, and the apartment is a good base to explore it from. It's also 5 mins away from the bus stop to go to the beach, 10-15 mins from the city centre, and the same from the port. My friends and I all loved staying in the apartment and I would certainly rent it again (and probably will next year!). Overall, it's extremely good value for money and well priced. |
