Home description
Our holiday home is well equipped and fully furnished, and will comfortably sleep up to 4 adults. It is accessible by lift or staircase, and it is in a residential block that is situated in a quiet, yet very central area, which is less than 5 minutes stroll from Palma Novas main beach and promenade, where you will find plenty of bars, pavement cafes and restaurants. Our home comprises of: -
A double bedroom, that contains a built in wardrobe with a mirrored door. The bedroom also has a small safe, a large electric ceiling fan, a large wall mirror, 2 single beds, a bedside table lamp, a chest of drawers containing a hair dryer, and there is also a portable child security gate stored under one of the beds.
Our ample lounge has a large electric ceiling fan, a large wall mirror, a dining table with 4 chairs, a small chair side table, a table lamp, a large TV, a DVD player with lots of varied DVD's, a modern music system with various CD's, an armchair, a built in wardrobe and a large bed settee that converts into 2 single beds. There are curtains at the windows, and also dividing curtains that can be drawn across the hallway and the kitchen hatch to afford those who are sleeping in the lounge some privacy.
The bathroom houses a washing machine, an ironing board, a toilet, a wash hand basin with a wall mirror above, storage cabinets, and a bath complete with a closed in shower cubicle and a shower attachment.
The kitchen is well equipped and houses a gas cooker complete with 4 rings and a full oven, a fridge with a small separate freezer compartment, a microwave oven, a slow electric cooker, a hand held mixer, a toaster and an electric kettle. There are also plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery , crockery, glasses etc; in fact virtually everything you should need in a kitchen. However, please let us know if you think there is anything we need to add.
Our sunny balcony overlooks the beautiful communal swimming pool and gardens and houses, 2 sun beds, a table with 4 chairs, 2 small side tables, 2 fold away portable chairs, and a clothes dryer. The pool and gardens are are of course available for your use and enjoyment while you are a guest in our home.

The Mallorca/Majorca region
Palma Nova is in the South West of the island, twenty minutes drive from Palma airport. Mallorca is an island of outstanding natural beauty with mountains and inland countryside to explore, idyllic sun-drenched beaches, bustling resorts and quiet villages. The capital Palma is easily reached by public bus, and has a wealth of sightseeing opportunities, it also has excellent shopping.
Mallorca is also home to the breathtaking "Cuevas Del Drach" - Caves of Drach. The caves contain Lake Martel, supposed to be the largest known underground lake in the world. With special lighting these caves of exceptional beauty play host to numerous concerts throughout the year. The caves are also open to the public all year round. Located outside Porto Cristo, on the South-west coast there are coach trips available or you can reach the caves by Hire car.
Palma Nova area
Our apartment is situated in a quite residential road, however, Palma Nova’s main beach and seafront promenade is less than 5 minutes stroll away.
The nearest beach offers a good range of water sports, along with ample beach beds and parasols for hire, there are three other beaches in the area, which are only minutes away, all them have similar facilities and lifeguards on duty in season. The main seafront promenade has plenty of restaurants, bars and delightful pavement cafes, which are all child friendly.
If you prefer a less full on night life, you will probably prefer to stay in Palma Nova, as Palma Nova is a little more sedate with its French style pavement cafes, excellent restaurants and cosy bars.
However, if you are looking for a very lively night life, our twin resort of Magalluf is probably the place for you. It is approximately fifteen minutes walk from our apartment, or you can jump in a taxi (about 4 euros) and ask for “Lennon’s Pub”, which is right in the middle of the main night life area.
If you are looking for a golfing holiday you will find that Majorca is an excellent choice, and Palma Nova is within easy reach of many of the islands best courses. The nearest Golf course is less than ten minutes drive away, and there are several other courses within easy reach.
There are plenty of taxis available at all hours of the day and night and there is a frequent bus service to Palma with connections to all parts of the island.
In our apartment you will find our personally compiled “Helpful Hints” information book, which contains all sorts of information about what is going on in Palma Nova / Magalluf as well as various other parts of the island.
How to get there
Fly to Palma de Mallorca, flights are available with most low cost and major airlines from most local and major airports in the UK and Europe. Then either take a taxi, a bus, or hire a car to get you to Palma Nova.
There are plenty of car hire services at the airport, which can be easily booked in advance by telephone or on line. There are also companies that can be found on line that offer transfers to Palma Nova by bus.
We will supply you with written directions on how to find the apartment should you choose to hire a car. We also provide you with written directions in Spanish, should you decide to take a taxi, just in case your taxi driver does not speak English or know the exact location of our apartment.
If you wish to view the approximate location of our apartment, see the interactive map shown on the right. Click on the button marked "View Interactive Map" and look for the "Blue Square" with a white dot in the middle, that marks the approximate position of our apartment.
On the map you will also see a broken dotted line just to the right of the blue square; that is a pedestrian walkway and the quickest route to the sea front promenade and beach.

Further details indoors: The colour TV has Sky connection, and the CD/Audio system has speakers fitted in all the rooms, which can be switched on and off as required.
The lounge and bedroom both have large ceiling fans and fitted hanging wardrobes. There are ample cupboards, drawers throughout the apartment and there is a small safe for valuables situated in the bedroom wardrobe.
There are dividing curtains across the hallway and kitchen hatch that can be drawn across to give some privacy to those sleeping in the lounge. The sunny balcony has a table with 4 chairs, 2 fold away portable chairs and 2 portable sun loungers (there are 2 more sun loungers stored under the beds in the bedroom). The apartment is amply equipped with pots, pans, crockery, cutlery & glasses etc.
Although we do not have air conditioning we do have "TWO LARGE ELECTRIC CEILING FANS" one in the bedroom and the other in the lounge. Other facilities that are "NOT TICKED" in the boxes above, include an "ELECTRIC SLOW COOKER", and "A PORTABLE CHILD SECURITY GATE", which can be easily fitted across any of the doors in the apartment.
"ARE YOU THINKING OF STAYING IN THE WINTER MONTHS" If so you will find there is plenty of lighting in the apartment and throughout the apartment building, and although our home does not have full fitted central heating, it does have a "LARGE PORTABLE GAS HEATER", which is rarely, if ever needed. The heater is housed in the lounge, but as it is on wheels it can easily be moved around the apartment, should you so wish. There are also plenty of blankets and extra pillows stored in the lounge wardrobe should you feel the need for them.
Further details outdoors: The apartment building has a beautiful communal swimming pool and delightful gardens. Our sunny balcony overlooks the pool and garden and has a sea view across the trees to the far side of the bay.

IN THE KITCHEN CUPBOARD AND THE REFRIGERATOR THERE SHOULD BE COMPLIMENTARY TEA, COFFEE, SUGAR, MILK AND BOTTLED WATER, SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE THAT GOOD OLD "CUPPA" THAT YOU WILL PROBABLY BE CRAVING WHEN YOU ARRIVE!!!

I'm six foot seven, but I could actually lay flat out on the sofa bed. The pool was excellent and never too busy. All in all it is a very nice apartment in a quiet spot, yet very near to the beach, bars and restaurants, I'll be recommending it to my friends. By the way the helpful hints folder was very useful.
