About the home
Our holiday home is accessible by lift or staircase, it is well equipped and comfortably accommodates four adults. It is located in a very central, yet quiet, residential area, which is less than a five minute stroll from Palma Novas main beach and promenade, with its many bars, restaurants, pavement cafés and activities for all the family.
Having rented many soulless holiday apartments from others; we decided to try and make our apartment more like a home from home. We like to think we have achieved this, by equipping our home with many of the things we thought had been lacking in those soulless apartments.
For instance we have equipped our lounge with a built in wardrobe, a curtain to close off the corridor and a roller blind to close off the hatch through to the kitchen, all of which allows for easy conversion to a bedroom at night; whilst maintaining the integrity of the lounge by day. This is achieved by simply drawing the curtain and closing blind to create privacy, and utilising the wardrobe; hence avoiding the clutter that usually prevails because those who are using the lounge as a bedroom would otherwise be forced to live out of a suitcase.

Our apartment has a double bedroom, with a built in hanging wardrobe, in which there is a small safe. The bedroom has a large ceiling fan, a large wall mirror, 2 single beds, a bedside table lamp, and a chest of drawers, in which you will find a hair dryer. You will also find 2 portable sun beds (for use by the pool), and a portable child security gate stored under the beds.
The lounge has a curtain that closes off the hallway and a roller blind that closes off the kitchen hatch, creating privacy for those sleeping in there, it also has a built in hanging wardrobe, all of which converts it into a virtual 2nd bedroom. The lounge also contains, a large bed settee that converts into 2 single beds, a large ceiling fan, a dining table with 4 chairs, an armchair, a small chair-side table, a table lamp, two small stools, a large wall mirror, a large TV that has Sky Connection, a DVD Player and DVDs, a Radio/ CD Player with many CDs, and many books and travel guides, all of which are available for your use whilst you are staying.
The bathroom houses a washing machine, an ironing board, a toilet, a wash hand basin, a large wall mirror, storage cabinets, and a bath that is equipped with a shower attachment and a fully enclosed cubicle.
The kitchen is well equipped and houses a gas cooker with a full oven, a fridge freezer, a microwave oven, a hand held mixer, a toaster and an electric kettle. There are also plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery , crockery, glasses etc; in fact virtually everything you should need in a kitchen.
Our sunny balcony overlooks the beautiful pool and gardens, both of which are available for your use whilst you are guest in our home. The balcony also houses, a portable sun bed and 2 portable reclining chairs (all of which can all be used by the pool). There is also a table with 4 chairs, 2 small side tables, and a clothes dryer.

The building has a beautiful communal swimming pool surrounded by delightful gardens, which our sunny balcony overlooks.The balcony also has a sea view across the trees to the far side of the bay.
Immediately outside the pool / garden gate, is a small Spanish Bar called "La Goleta", which is very useful should you fancy a drink, a snack, or just an ice cream, and cannot be bothered to go up to the apartment, you are on holiday after all ;-) The proprietors of the bar are more than happy for you to take your purchases up to the pool, as long as you return any plates, glasses etc.

THERE SHOULD BE COMPLIMENTARY TEA, COFFEE, SUGAR, MILK AND BOTTLED WATER, IN THE APARTMENT, SO YOU CAN MAKE THAT "CUPPA" YOU WILL NO DOUBT BE GASPING FOR WHEN YOU ARRIVE!!!
ARE YOU THINKING OF STAYING IN THE WINTER MONTHS?
If so you will find there is plenty of lighting in the apartment and throughout the apartment building, and although our home does not have central heating, it does have a "LARGE PORTABLE GAS HEATER", which is rarely, if ever needed. The heater is housed in the lounge and is on wheels, so it can easily be moved around the apartment. You will also find plenty of blankets and extra pillows stored in the lounge wardrobe, should you feel the need for them.

Strictly No Smoking in the apartment, except on the balcony!!!
When you make a booking we require a 25% non-refundable deposit or a minimum of £100.00, whichever is the greater. The balance is payable 8 weeks before you are due to travel along with a £100.00 security bond. This bond is refundable after your stay subject to a satisfactory property inspection against damages etc. However, if any damage to our property or it's contents is reported by our agents we reserve the right to deduct the cost of replacement or repair from this bond.

The Mallorca/Majorca region


Mallorca is an island of outstanding natural beauty with mountains and inland countryside to explore, idyllic sun-drenched beaches, bustling resorts and quiet villages. The Capital Palma has a wealth of sightseeing opportunities and excellent shopping it is easily reached by public bus taking you to Plaza Espana, which is in the heart of the city.
From Plaza Espana you can get buses and trains to all parts of the island. Why not try a trip on the old style train that rattles its way across the mountains to the old town of Soller. Once you are there it is also worth taking the short journey by tram through the lemon groves and down to the Port. (We recommend that you allow a whole day, should you decide to do this, but we think its worth it).
If you prefer organised tours, there are plenty of agencies along the Palma Nova promenade where you can book all sorts of excursions. Like a day at a water park, crazy golf, a boat trip or even a show at a top night spot! There are many other activities to choose from and we are sure you will be able to find something to suit you! Or maybe you just want to relax by the pool or at the beach, you are on holiday after all.
The Palma Nova area
Palma Nova is in the South West of the island, just twenty minutes drive from Palma airport, it is a a great all round family resort that caters for all ages. Our apartment is situated in a quite residential road, however it is also very central, as Palma Novas main beach and promenade is less than five minutes stroll away.
The nearest beach is very safe for children, there are life guards on duty throughout the summer months, and it offers a good range of water sports, ample beach beds and parasols for hire . There are three other beaches in the area, all of which have similar facilities.
The main seafront promenade has plenty of restaurants, bars and delightful pavement cafes, as well as many activities for children of all ages. Those of you who prefer a "LESS FULL ON NIGHT LIFE" will probably prefer to stay in PALMA NOVA, and spend a relaxing evening, starting with a meal at one of its excellent restaurants, followed by a cocktail or three ;-) in one of the French style pavement cafes, or cosy bars.
However, if you are looking for a "VERY LIVELY NIGHT LIFE", our twin resort of MAGALLUF is probably the place for you. It is approximately fifteen minutes stroll from our apartment, or you can just jump in a taxi (about 4 Euro) and ask for “Lennon’s Pub”, which is right in the middle of the night club and disco area.
Why not have the best of both, starting in PALMA NOVA and moving on to MAGALLUF to bop the night away!!!
Should you be looking for a "GOLFING HOLIDAY" you will find that PALMA NOVA is an excellent choice, as it is within easy reach of many of the islands best courses. The nearest Golf course is less than ten minutes drive away, and there are several other courses within easy reach.
As for getting around there are plenty of taxis available at all hours of the day or night. There are also regular buses into Palma, if you get off at Plaza Espana bus station you can get buses from there to all parts of the island. There are also buses direct from Palma Nova to resorts in the south west of the island, such as Santa Ponsa, Paguera and Andraitx, though those buses are less frequent than those going to Palma.

Fly to Palma de Mallorca, most low cost and major airlines fly there from local and major airports in the UK and Europe, on arrival either take a taxi, a bus, or hire a car to get you to Palma Nova. There are plenty of car hire services at the airport, which can be booked in advance by telephone or on line, there are also companies on line that offer transfers to Palma Nova.
We supply written directions to the the apartment should you choose to hire a car, we also provide directions in Spanish, should you decide to take a taxi.
The approximate location of our apartment is marked on the the interactive map to the right. To the right of the marker there is a pedestrian walkway, which is the quickest route to the sea front promenade and beach.

Every aspect of our holiday was outstanding. We were really impressed by the booking process. The owners were very professional and helpful. They offered us some really useful tips and hints before we traveled. Also, in the apartment they have a really useful book which has excellent tips and advice. One tip we took them up on was a day trip to Soller. We had the most amazing day trip- we would highly recommend visiting Soller, it was just beautiful!! We were really impressed when we arrived at the apartment block. The communal areas were clean, safe and well maintained (I could not wait to get into the pool!). The flat was lovely and it really felt like a home from home. There was even tea and coffee when we arrived which made me feel very welcome! The flat was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen facilities were much better than I expected them to be, there was everything that we could need and more! (sadly not the norm with self catering!)The fridge freezer was an excellent size which we found really helpful. Also, there is a washing machine which was useful. The bedding smelt very clean and fresh. My favorite feature of the flat was the balcony, we enjoyed eating dinner and having a few drinks on there in the evening. Also, my boyfriend loved the Sky box! The location of the flat is very good. It was very quiet at a night which was great (I am a very light sleeper!) The beach is a 5 min walk from the apartment.The sea was lovely and warm and the sand was very soft. Also, the apartment is close to bus stops allowing for easy travel across the Island. There was a good selection of local restraunts and bars catering to all different tastes and budgets. There was a very nice atmosphere locally and I always felt safe. We really had a lovely time and would stronlgy recommend you to stay! We are defiantly going to return. We visited this apartment in August 2011 for 2 weeks , 2 adults and 2 children ( 12 and 9 yrs old). The pool area was nice , a man cleans and tidies it daily . The apartment is very close to the beach , cafes , bars and restraunts . the beach is just lovely , soft sand , clear water , really clean . good variety of restraunts , cafes and bars - you can eat and drink relatively cheaply - or expensively , careful , some restraunts do not add VAT to their advertised prices , but add it to the bill afterwards . We usually found that soft drinks for the children were more expensive than our alcoholic drinks ! Very easy walks to neighbouring beaches , easy 10-15 mins walk to magaluf . we found the area of palma nova to be low key and easy going, but plenty to do and lots of variety - absolute bliss ! The apartment was smaller than expected and really hot , the overhead fans helped a little , but the temperature in the apartment didn't drop below 30 degrees , even at night .The beds and sofa bed were well worn and somewhat uncomfortable. The kitchen was adequately equipped but we needed to clean what we were going to use beforehand . The balcony was a decent size and overlooks the pool . there was a lilo and other beach equipment for us to use . Brilliant having a safe to use , although security at the site seemed good - grills to windows , so you could have them open without worrying and sturdy locks . Plenty wardrobe / drawer space - and coat hangers . We found the information left in the apartment very useful , the information and customer care from the owners was excellent . We would definitely visit the area again , one of the best holidays we have ever had . Well.....what a wonderful week that was! We just wanted to say what a great week we had at your apartment. The complex with the pool and grounds was perfect and stunning. The apartment had everything we needed and more. The kids loved the pool and so did we. Not crowded like I thought it would be (even had the pool to ourselves on a few occasions). The residents and other people staying the complex were friendly and easy going. Perfectly located, right in the centre of Palma Nova so nice to be able to walk in all directions, couldn't ask for more. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to rent your apartment, we just wish we could afford one ourselves as the place was perfect..
