Home description
The penthouse is the only apartment on the roof of Edificio Olivia. Inside, the spacious 80m2 living area is divided into 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms ( 1 en-suite ), fully fitted kitchen, laundry room and a large lounge with a dining area. We have just installed air conditioning. The apartment has just been redecorated There is a TV with Digibox. Additionally, there is a sofa bed in a screened alcove so the apartment can accommodate up to 8 people if there are a number of young children. There is an extra charge for more than 6 guests. According to group size or wishes the dining table or the bed settee can be placed in the alcove. The 120m2 terrace has outstanding sea views of Palma Bay and has a sofa a small table with 4 chairs and a large bench table with parasol so you can enjoy all meals with fabulous views and a cool breeze. Also there are 6 sun beds It is perfect for families or golf parties. Please note that Edificio Olivia is a residential building and as such there are regulations against excessive noise between midnight and 8am. Most of the residents live and work year round on the island, so please if you want all night parties look for apartments in other areas.

Palma Nova area
Son Calíu is a quiet semi residential area. The hotels in the area are all 4*, with no late outdoor shows, which means that Mum and Dad can sleep while the younger members of the family are at the disco or enjoying the Magalluf nightlife. There is a supermarket in front of the apartment and a bus stop 50 yards away, with a regular bus service to Palma, Magalluf and Santa Ponsa. In the block behind the swimming pool there are various restaurants and bars There are a variety of shops on the ground floor, including a video rental shop. There are 2 small beaches within 50 yards of the apartment. An almost unknown beach, Punta Negra, is 5 mins walk. Palma Nova, the popular tourist town with it´s long beach and large selection of shops, restaurants and bars and is a pleasant 10 min. walk. Together with Magaluff it has many tourst attractions, and boasts of a varied nightlife with plenty of show bars and discos. The Portals Nous beach, popular with the locals, is about 15mins. walk. Marineland, very popular with the younger family members, is a 10 min walk. Teenagers can be in the centre of Magalluf in 10 minutes, were discotecs and bars, open to the early hours, are plentiful. For the younger, and not so young, I recommend he new attraction in Magalluf, The House of Katmandu. The area is a golfers´ paradise. Bendinat, Santa Ponsa 1 and Santa Ponsa 2 are within a 10 minute drive. Portals Nous tennis club is a 10 min. walk.
How to get there
Flight to Palma airport, or if by car, the fast ferry to Palma. Son Calíu/ Palmanova is just 25 kilometers from the airport. A taxi costs less than 30 euros, about 20 pounds. There are lots of car hire firms in the airport and it is motorway all the way to Son Calíu. For up to 5 people, pick up from the airport can be arranged. There is also a regular bus service from the airport to Palma and a change of bus to Son Calíu, but I do not recommend this.

Sorry, but due to various groups of louts trashing the apartment, I will now have to require a refundable security deposit of 200.00 pounds for family bookings. The refundable security deposit for stag groups, due to the cost of replacing broken items and repairs, is 400.00 pounds.
Conditions
Check in day is Saturday. We try to be as flexible as possible re check in times, however the apartment does need to be cleaned. Official check out time is 11am and check in time 3pm. The apartment has a large entrance hall so that you can leave your luggage on arrival whilst the apartment is being cleaned or on departure.
