You can get away from it all on the beach or in the apartment and when you feel like excitement you will find all the restaurants, water parks, golf, fishing, shoppping, dhow cruises only a short card ride away! Take an eveing stroll in the picturesque gardens dotted with blue light fountains and children's play areas.
The traditional souks are only a 20 min drive away and the world famous shopping mall, Emirates Mall is only a 10 min drive. So you can spend the relaxing, unwinding on the beach, mix in some shopping and finish the day in some of the most fabulous restaurants in the Jumeirah area or the heart of the city. You will remember this holiday for quite some time!

The Dubai region
The Trucial Coast is an all year round sunny destination. There is very little rain but can get quite hot and humid in the summer months (low season). The beaches are some of the best that you will find anywhere, the shopping is second to none and the vast array of restaurants put New York and London to shame. Dubai is also one of the most safest holiday destinations - there is very little crime.
It suits those looking for a romantic holiday because of all of the activities, restaurants, shopping etc but also parents who want to relax on the beach watching their children play in one of the most secure and family friendly destinations that there is.
Palm Island area
Dubai is the perfect destination for relaxing in the sun. The Palm Island has a 1/4 mile of white sand beach that is private to all residents. You can combine this with golfing, deep sea fishing, camping under the stars in the desert, camel racing, 4*4 wheel drives over the sand dunes, and all manner of water sports. If thats not enough how about trying your hand at skiing!.
The world famous Wild Wadi park is a 10 min drive, and the giant shopping Mall of Emirates 10min drive. Atlantis Hotel and Water Park now open at the tip of the Palm Island.
Make sure that you take your favourite dress to the textile souk, pick out some gorgeous fabric and have it sewn up to fit you like a glove in less than 4 days! Or else treat yourself to a newly tailored suit especially made for you. spend a night in the desert bedoin camping or go for the wild 4*4 trek across the desert.
How to get there
All the major airlines fly direct to Dubai International Airport which is 30km from the apartment. Dubai is +4 hours GMT. From the airport you will be advised to catch the national cabs from the taxi point and the approx cost of the journey is about 60 AED. The journey takes you along the Sheikh Zayed Road (motorway) and you will get signs for The Palm Island, Jumeirah - take the exit and this road brings you straight into the Palm. The Al Shahla building is on the left as you proceed down the trunk. Once outside, the concierge will help you with your bags. The apartment is entered from the ground floor but as the building is elevated it has a balcony at the back.

Further details indoors: The kitchen is fully equipped with a 5 stove cooker, american style fridge freezer, washer/dryer and washing machine. The living room has 2 large 2 seater leather sofa beds (comfortably sleeps upto 3 adults) and a flat screen TV and DVD player. The bedroom has an extra large double bed plus walk in wardrobe. There is a family sized bathroom and a second WC room. There is a 24 hour concierge and free secure underground car parking. The balcony has a garden view and is set with table and chairs which makes it perfect for alfresco dining. You can also order takeaway from the selection of many restaurants whose menus and telephone numbers are kept in the information pack at the apartment. The apartment is fully managed therefore it is cleaned before your arrival with fresh towels and linen, beach robes and also once during the week for a stay of 7 days or longer.
Further details outdoors: The Palm Island, Jumeirah is largely residential therefore the its private beach, gyms and swimming pools are never overcrowded like a public or hotel beach. Only the residents or guests of The Palm have access to these amenities. Relax on the balcony overlooking beautifully landscaped gardens whilst dining alfresco.

Fully refundable security/ damage deposit must be paid as this is furnished and fitted with high end items but it is returned with in 7 days of your departure. Prices are subject to change at the owners discretion. Longer lets of a month will be considered. When booking you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions. Normal check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am however we are flexible depending on the length of stay and that there are no other bookings immediately prior or after your trip.

Belinda Muffin and husband, April 12th "My husband and i stayed at this apartment for 8 nights in April 09 and had the time of our lives! The apartment is just as beautiful as the pictures show but best of all is only a couple of minutes walk to a gorgeous private beach (had to remember swipe card as beach is private access only). Beach was the idilic place for us to relax, catch the sun and go for a swim in the sea/swimming pools. Owner provided useful suggestions and information before arrival and we were met by a check-in contact at the apartment even though we arrived at 2:30am! The water park Aquaventure on Palm island is awesome! loved the wooden dhow trip that leaves from the marina (evening cruise is more romantic), great restaurants everywhere, restaurants in the marina were a bit pricy though. But overall couldnt have asked for more and have recommended it to family for their holiday.
