Ideally located on Florida's Gulf Coast just minutes from many of America’s best beaches. The apartment is situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Tarpon, just north of Clearwater.

The big and exciting city of Tampa together with its International Airport is just 30 minutes away, with the major theme parks in Orlando only 90 minutes drive.

Relax by the communal pool and in the Jacuzzi and enjoy the waterfront environment. On your doorstep are an abundance of malls, restaurants, parks, beaches, golf courses and endless activities for young or old.

The apartment will be cleaned before and after your stay. No need for you to lift a finger, relax and enjoy!

WHAT A LOCATION - Our apartment is situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Tarpon in the small and quaint town of Palm Harbor, just north of the famous beach resort of Clearwater with mile after mile of white sandy beaches all the way down to St Petersburg. We are also just south of the well-known tourist town of Tarpon Springs.

You will need a car to stay here. The Clearwater area is a popular tourist area with many restaurants, bars, shopping malls and although they are just minutes away the road layout in this area means they are spread along the main roads and are not suitable for walking to (no pavement/sidewalk).

WATERFRONT LIVING - Lake Tarpon Villas is a modern, stylish, low-level apartment complex with direct access to seven-mile long Lake Tarpon (the second largest lake in Florida) which is great for bass fishing and water skiing. We look out onto water, boardwalks and boat docks. Often you will see fish in the water and storks and herons right outside on the decking which you can fish from. Our gas-grill-BBQ is on the decking right by the waterside.

There is an open-air swimming pool. There is a Jacuzzi, sun loungers and picnic tables where you can relax alongside the boat docks and waterside where we have our own private mooring.

Our large (1000 sq ft) two-bedroom apartment has views of the lake from the balcony. It has two bedrooms, one with queen-size bed and one with twin beds; also there is a large sofa bed to sleep two more (living room). There are two bathrooms, one en-suite. Both have bath and shower. The apartment is accessed by a small flight of 15 stairs, it is on the 1st floor (the complex is no higher). There is an assigned parking space just yards from the apartment, handy for getting the shopping in.

The apartment is comfortable, clean and above all safe. It is air-conditioned and family-friendly with high-chair and travel cot. The living area is very comfortable with cathedral ceiling and a sofa for three and a separate sofa for two. The dining area seats 4.

Cable TV with over 80 channels, DVD player. We have installed a computer with free high-speed 100MB Internet access and WIFI for your portable devices.

The kitchen has all the obvious appliances and utensils you need for cooking i.e. cooker, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, kettle, coffee-maker etc. There is also a dishwasher and refrigerator. Coin-operated washing machine and dryer are located in the utility area next to the communal pool. In the hall is an iron and ironing board.

AWARD-WINNING BEACHES - Of course most people coming to stay with us want to know what the beaches are like. Well luckily we are minutes away from many great beaches. Many people have heard of St. Petersburg and Clearwater but there are more local beaches close by such as Honeymoon Island, Caladesi Island, Fred Howard Park and Sunset beach. Some of these have been voted in the top ten of all beaches in America – beating off competition from California and Hawaii!

TAMPA - On your doorstep in Tampa, you also have a major theme park, Busch Gardens, famous for having the best rollercoasters in Florida. Tampa itself has all sorts of attractions from waterfront shopping, marinas, Lowry Park Zoo, museums, malls, sports and nightlife.

NEARBY - Within 5 miles we calculate there to be hundreds of restaurants. Numerous supermarkets (including Wal-Mart, Publix and Albertsons less than a mile away). The area is a haven for golf lovers. Less than 1/2 mile is world-famous Westin Innisbrook Resort. Within 10 miles there are about 40 golf courses!! Nearby is the Pinellas Trail which is 47 miles long where you can walk, run, bike, jog, or rollerblade.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mark (the owner) a message.

If Mark (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
