About the home

The Rainbow Villa (2007) is built in colonial style, with 5 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an extensive living area with a half-open kitchen. From the impressive veranda you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view of swimming pool and large, fully enclosed back garden. The villa has recently been completely refurnished – with splendid, luxurious quality! (For a full description see our site by clicking the link at the bottom of the advert)

The villa has the following layout and facilities:
Living area: (large sofa, 40 inch LCD TV, I-Pod docking station, sizeable dining table, double doors opening onto the large veranda with pool view)
(Half) Open kitchen (4-burner gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, complete set of pans, dishes, silverware and cooking utensils)
Pantry (Double door refrigerator/freezer, washing machine & dryer, iron and ironing board
5 bedrooms (4 rooms with kingsize 2-persons beds, 1 room with two single beds that can be used as a double bed. All rooms have air conditioning, 32 inch LCD TV’s, IPod docking and clothing closets.
2 bathrooms double sinks, toilet and shower. One bathroom equipped with a full bath.

Private back garden swimming pool (15ft x 30ft), external shower, lounge beds, 2 gazebo’s, one with a hammock and one with a lounge area. Weber BBQ. This back garden area is fully enclosed and nicely planted.
Walled front garden. Attractive front area with parking space for 3 cars. Separate doors on both sides to the back garden.
The Villa is equipped with cable television, wireless internet and an alarm system.
There is a supermarket approximately ½ mile from the villa. The closest beach is about a 5 minute drive from the house, located at the High Rise area, a boulevard with luxury hotels, numerous restaurants and clubs. Oranjestad, the capital city, is 15 minutes by car from the villa, while the airport is just a 20 minute drive away.

Further details outdoors:
Gated private parking for 3 cars. This villa is part of a cul-de-sac villa park with similar, beautiful, low rise buildings in a circular drive. This area is very safe.
There are a number of sporting activities close by to enjoy like golfing (3 courses), diving, snorkeling, (para)sailing, windsurfing, plus a butterfly garden and a wildlife preserve.
2 Children's fold-up sleeping cots and one high chair are available in the villa.

Rental Conditions (briefly):
- the minimum price per week is based on 6 persons, even if there are fewer guests staying at the villa.
- the villa can be rented for a maximum of 10 persons
- the minimum length of stay is 5 nights
- an extra night is charged at 15% of the week price per person.
- the rental price includes: gas, water, electricity, maid service (1 x per week), cable television, wireless internet and the free pick up service from the airport.
- the End-of-Stay cleaning charge is mandatory and amounts to $ 75.00 for 6 persons. For additional guests there is a charge of $12.50 per person. The deposit is $300 and should be paid in cash upon arrival. Included in the Rental Fee is an amount of $20,- per night for the use of electricity. Upon check out, the meter will be read and in case the usage has exceeded this amount, the difference shall be deducted from the deposit.

Reservations & cancellations:
A reservation is considered confirmed after the first payment (50% of the rental fee) is received. The remaining amount of the rental fee (including deposit and End-of-Stay cleaning charge) must be received at least 8 weeks prior to the rental period. Non payment of the remaining amount within this period will be interpreted as a cancellation. In this case the Conditions of Cancellation will be applicable. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the rental period must be paid for in full.

The Palm Beach, Aruba region

Aruba is, together with Bonaire and Curacao, known as one of the A-B-C Islands in the Caribbean. The island has a long a history. Originally populated by the Caquetios Indians from the Arawak tribe, the island was colonised by the Spanish, the Dutch, the English and later again by the Dutch. As of 1986 Aruba has an independent status within the Dutch Commonwealth. The population of Aruba is about 100,000 consisting of over 40 nationalities. The unemployment rate is extremely low and as is the number of families under the poverty level. There is very little violent crime on the island. Tourism forms a large part of the economy and the islanders are normally very friendly and helpful.
Communication is easy – English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiements (the local language) are spoken nearly everywhere. Street signs, restaurant menu’s, telephone books, etc are usually printed in both Dutch and English. The majority of tourists come from the US, Venezuela and the Netherlands.
The climate is exceptionally pleasant. The island lies close to the equator and is well placed away from the hurricane zone. Storms rarely touch the Aruba. There are few rainy days and therefore that many more sunny ones. Prevailing breezes make the temperature of 81° F very enjoyable all year round!

The Palm Beach Town / Noord area

Activities:
Despite the fact that Aruba is not a large island, there is a lot to do during your stay here! There are a number of sporting activities to enjoy like diving, snorkelling, (para)sailing, windsurfing and many more. There are beautiful beaches, untouched, quiet or busy – whatever you prefer. Romantic wedding locations complete with sunset options on the beach. There are, in addition, many tourist attractions, midget golf and water parks. Restaurants galore with food from a dozen countries, some of them right on the beach so you can eat with your toes in the sand. Enough choice of fun stores, big and small, can be found on Aruba to do shopping. Also all the famous brand names of perfume, clothing and jewellery can be found on the Island. In the villa there is a information binder with all the information you may need regarding activities on Aruba with telephone numbers, addresses and websites.
Especially for the golfers, there are 3 golf courses on Aruba!
