Villa Calarossa is located in a brand new seaside residence few minutes far from the Palermo Airport, overlooking the shores of Terrasini, nice small town 30 minutes driving from Palermo downtown.

The house can host up to 6 people (2 sleeping in single beds).

Still off the main guide-books on Sicily, Terrasini is a jewel fortunately untouched by the mass tourism, yet. Terrasini shores and beaches are perfect for surf and windsurf, sailing, kite etc. In the surroundings, a natural reserve and the small mountains are perfect for trekking and biking, although the Municipal Museum and its historical remains are not to be missed. Villa Calarossa takes its name from the color red of the Terrasini coast. It overlooks the sea and in the brightest days you can also spot the small island Ustica. Unforgettable red sunsets as well... The closest beach is only 10 minutes walking from the house and within half an hour walking it's possible to reach many other spots to swim (with rocks and sands beaches). The lively city centre of Terrasini (full of bars, restaurants and shops) is at 2 km; bars and supermarkets can be reached on foot in 20 minutes. The house has two bedrooms in two separate grounds (ground floor and underground floor); two large bathrooms and a sunny living with fireplace and kitchen. On summertime the house is sunny but cool and well-ventilated, and it has air conditioning in every room. However it is designed and equipped to be comfortably enjoyed during the whole year as it has heating (both with radiators and fireplace). In the flowered private garden guests can enjoy outdoor furniture and barbecue. There is also a private parking place. Thanks to its position, Villa Calarossa is a perfect place to visit the city of Palermo without renouncing a staying in a green and quiet seaside place. Its location is also very good to reach confortably the western part of Sicily (i.e. Scopello 30 minutes), Trapani and Erice (50 min), Segesta (40 min). The Sicily region

Sicily, right in the heart of the Mediterranean sea, has a cultural heritage unsurpassed by any other holiday destination. It's array of historical rulers have provided the island with unique architecture, art and traditions. The coastline is dramatic and beautiful (like the people) and the towns are a bustling hubbub of activities.

In the centre of the island sits the majestic Mt Etna, a still active volcano. A trip to the top is a must.

Being in Italy, and having such a rich history, Sicily has a wonderful selection of food & drink. The various cultures and natural local produce combine to make dishes that can be found nowhere else in the world.

Palermo

Streets and alleys of Palermo:

can't get enough of walking in Palermo. Staring at the varied architecture, listening to the clips of conversations (just the tone of them), smiling back to curious and friendly faces' and suddenly ' a flash of green wings and a scream of a parrot!

Market places:

just dive into a real dealing and get ready for making a fool of yourself ' and don't get it so seriously if you put your fingers to the wrong places and get some strict looks from the market salesmen.

Bar Touring

in Piazzetta Porta Reale (Via Lincoln): very friendly staff and 10+ Sicilian style 'snacks' like arancinos and pepitos etc.
