Instantly unwind with a stay in this charming stone cottage in one of the prettiest villages of the Southern Corbieres. Situated in the award winning mediaeval village of Palairac the property is ideal for both weekend breaks and longer holidays. Based in the heart of the Corbiere & Fitou wine making areas, it offers absolute peace and quiet, beautiful scenery, hill walking, cycling, horse riding and bird watching. Several river swimming spots (in crystal clear water) are just a short drive away, and the endless sandy Mediterranean beaches can be accessed in well under an hour. The village is also in the centre of Cathar Country, with many magnificent castles to visit in the area. For those visiting in the winter, the ski resorts of the French Pyrenees are just a two hour drive away. The village itself is extremely peaceful, with very little traffic .Shops, together with all facilities are only 10km away in the town of Tuchan. Perpignan and Carcassone airports (both served by Ryanair) are both less than one hours drive away making this an easily accessible “get away from it all” location.

Palairac area
Palairac is a beautiful, friendly, peaceful village. It boasts a ‘fleurie’ award for one of the prettiest villages in Aude. It has a real sense of community, and visitors are made to feel very welcome. If you get the chance to visit at Easter or Bastille Day, there is a fete, or celebration, when the whole village sits down to lunch together!

The prices include duvets, pillows etc, but we would ask that you bring your own bed linen and towels, as is quite normal for French property lets. Also in order to keeps costs low, we ask that you clean the property before your departure.

We are very flexible regarding booking dates, as we like to accommodate short break visitors, as well as those after the more traditional week or more. (Also this you allows you to take advantage of Ryanair’s cheaper midweek flights!) Prices: £99 - £175 per week £50 - £125 per weekend /short stay (4 days or less)
