Three staffed luxury Villas offer high quality living in a wonderful African lodge feel on private nature reserve next to the sea!. The Villas are well established; The Bushman's Hideout Villa built ion 2006, Mr Today's Villa in 2009 and The Villa Flamboyant in 2012 and are properly maintained serviced and kept in top condition. All wonderfully and privately situated in the center of our secure Estate, with each Villa is at least 80m apart from the other villas and for complete privacy as is the central area with the shared swimming pool, spa, Bar and BBQ

All our villas are traditionally built from local sand, coral stone and mangrove poles, with Cyprus and mahogany wooden plank floors surrounded by elevated walkways and large verandas and capped by a magnificent Makuti (coconut leaf) roofs.

The main entrances is across the main veranda and through traditionally carved Zanzibari doors into the very large living rooms which are beautifully decorated in mixes of tastefully choosen furnishings from modern to original Zanzibar antiques and African traditional spears and local fabrics. Each Villa are in African colonial style but with all modern gadgets and kitchens.

The surrounding gardens are quite, private and full of African wildlife giving a wonderful peace and tranquillity, Wi-Fi is available all over the Estate.

The central swimming pool are just 60m away and is exclusive to these 3 villas offering a great place to spend those book reading days or playing with the kids in the pool. A great place for evenings with the BBQ's, and big dining table, pleanty of games and Honesty bar area, all this just a few minutes away from the best beach on Zanzibar

It is possible to accommodate small children and babies, disabled and old people on request please mail me with any questions about this. There is a small children's pool included by the main pool and games building, we also offer a baby sitting service.

The estate is fully serviced with it's own Transformer and silent generator we do not have many electricity issues as do many places! This is an important point when you're choosing a villa or hotel on Zanzibar power cuts are relevant to your holiday experience.

Each villa is set in its own private garden with sunbeds large couches and hammocks, shady trees or thatched umbrellas.

at the centre of the estate not more than 70meters away from any one private villa, you'll find the big swimming pool area with more sunbeds and Makuti leaf umbrellas, games, spa and massage, children's pool, changing room and showers, an outside honesty bar with barbecue with dining for over twenty people. We also offer the services of our resident cook who offers buffet breakfast, lunches and dinners also available to cook at your private villa (with advance notice only)

All 3 villas and the central area are set in the center of our 6 hectares of Exclusive private estate and nature reserve. The Estate is surrounded by a high security with only one main entrance gate and reception where you'll always find our management and security team 24/7 at your service. The wall also helps to keep in all our antelopes and other African animals who live with us on in harmony on the estate, so don't forget your binoculars :)

Coast/Beach

This is the best Beach on Zanzibar only 200m away from our estate is an easy 10 minutes walk, plenty of local bars and restaurants. In the centre of the Paje village there are many local shops with fresh fruits and vegetables, a butcher and many general small shops, local cafes and road side snack BBQ's in the evening and a couple of good supermarkets are all between approximately 5 to 10 minutes walk away from the villas estate

We also offer car hire and minibus with driver to take you out where ever you want to go we also offer many local tours such as Jozani Forest to view the rare indigenous Red Colobus Monkeys in the only remaining natural mangrove forest on Unguja / Zanzibar Island is a heaven for nature lovers!

Spice tour

we travel to the central and western parts of the Island, where an abundance of vegetation exists. Coconut, fruits and the spice plantations depending on the season

Dolphins and whales

Common and spinner dolphins and false killer whale watching. We travel to southern part of the Island where the dolphin’s can be found. Often we can enjoy a jumping display as they swim along with the constant speed of our boat. If conditions are right and we are lucky, we may even get to swim with them.

Coral reef snorkeling by local canoe.

This is organized by our local fishermen who are able to bring you out from our beach with their wooden dug out canoes. The reef is only a couple of hundred meters away and the snorkeling is just a couple of meters deep.

Prison Island and the Giant Tortoises.

This historical Island was formerly owned by an Arab and used for the confinement of refractory slaves. Later it was bought by General Matthews who erected a jail in 1893 and which still stands today, hence the name Prison Island. The main attraction of the island these days is to meet the giant tortoises

Stonetown tour.

This is a mainly an historic tour which includes the following sights:

The Old Fort dating back since 1700.

The “House of Wonder“, the People's Palace.

The Mosque at Malindi.

The Catholic and Anglican cathedrals.

The city market located on the site of the old Slave Market.

The National Museum.

Jozani Forest Park and Animal Sanctuary

Is a new project which we have started with canoe and oxcart safaris, a local skills training centre and animal sanctuary for endangered speicies native to Zanzibar.

The Zanzibar region

Island is approx. 100km in length and 70km in the breadth.

The rest of the island and all the sights are never more than a 1 and half hour drive. Transfers and car hire can be arranged. There are several 1 day and half day activities and tours we offer. We also have a range of longer tours, car hire and transfers.

All our tours leave your villa at a reasonable hour +-7am after breakfast in the morning and we will have you back early afternoon +- 1pm or well before dark for evening dinner at +-6pm!

You can pre-book these tours by e-mailing us direct or via the Zanzibar Villa’s manager Mr. Ali Top at least one day in advance.

All tours are susceptible to the season, the local weather conditions and limited capacity.

Listed below are the main activities we offer but we can also tailor-make anything you like or you can simply hire a car with a driver or a motorbike and do your own thing. An international driving license is required should you wish to drive on Zanzibar.

Spice tour

On the spice tour we travel to the central and western parts of the Island where an abundance of vegetation exists. Depending on the season you may taste, see and smell up to 50 different fruits, spices and plants on the Island whilst visiting plantations.

We will have plenty of time also to wander the small back streets in search of antiques and souvenirs such as Tinga-Tinga paintings, Makonde carvings, tie & dye materials, khangas, coffee, coconut liquor, clove oil, Masai jewellery, spices and art. We will end our day with a sundowner on the terrace of the Africa house the place to be at sundown...

Multi day’s tours to our other islands or the mainland, such as Pemba, Misali, Chapwani, Mnemba, Tumbatu or Chumbe, Mombasa, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Tanga, can be arranged in advance by e-mailing us direct or via the Zanzibar Villa’s manager Mr. Ali Top at least one day in advance.

Paje

Coral reef snorkelling by local canoe

This trip is organized by our local fishermen who are able to take you out from our beach in their wooden dug out canoes. The reef is only a couple of hundred meters away and the snorkelling is just a couple of meters deep. This is a wonderful few hours spent admiring the many coloured corals and fish. A very nice trip for children…

Jozani Forest Sanctuary

Is a zoological collection of the reptiles and other small mammals such as Hyrax and antelope native to Zanzibar set in a small natural forest.

The goal of Jozani Frorest Sanctuary is to have living examples of all the reptiles of Zanzibar. There are now about twenty five species of snake and lizard kept in enclosures putting the animals in their natural habitat. The snake collection includes pythons, a Mozambique spitting cobra, Boomslangs (tree snakes), and a green mamba as well as smaller species. Chameleons, hyrax, small antelopes and monitor lizards are on view as well.

Dolphin and whale watching

Common and spinner dolphins and false killer whale may be seen in Zanziabr. For this trip we travel to southern part of the Island, where the dolphin’s can be found, and often we enjoy a dolphin jumping display as they swim alongside the boat. If conditions are right, and we are lucky, we may even get to swim with them.

Jozani forest national park

Jozani forest is the only remaining natural mangrove forest on Unguja / Zanzibar Island and, with it’s rare indigenous Red Colobus monkey, it is a heaven for nature lovers! With a rich variety of bird species and other small wild life we will take a local guide to lead us through the forest and nature trails.

Diving and PADI world class diving off Zanzibar and Pemba.

there is a local diving centre. Here we have special rates for our guests who book in advance. Apart from diving all around the island they offer all PADI courses from beginners to masters.
