La Carniche is a detached, comfortable and pretty Breton house in quiet rural village setting. Country fully-equipped kitchen, with large and comfortable living room with both English and French satellite TV, with DVD library. Very comfortably sleeps 6 (and cot) in 4 bedrooms, one double room on ground floor. Spacious enclosed garden with raised patio - perfect for quiet evenings with a glass of wine, or a family barbecue.
Paimpol is a picturesque yachting and fishing harbour just 5 minutes away, Plouha's spectacular cliffs and beaches (with great children's facitlies) just 10 minutes drive, and historic and beautiful Pontrieux 15 minutes. The Côte du Goelo and the Côte de Granite Rose are both within easy reach - just 10-15 minutes drive. Whether you're looking for sea and beaches, sight-seeing, visiting the traditional French markets, experiencing the great wine and food, wanting an activity-filled holiday, or just a rural countryside retreat - La Carniche is for you.

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
Close to the Coasts of Goelo and the Pink Granite Coast, there are unlimited sight-seeing opportunities, and wealth of attractions and activities. The village of Yvias is very quiet and rural, yet just 5 minutes drive from Paimpol.
The pretty and historic towns of Plouha and Pontrieux are just 15 mintues away, and there is a traditional French market every day of the week within just a short drive. The region has many tourist attractions, natural beauty spots and sporting activities.
The Coast of Goelo (to the east) and the Pink Granite Coast (north and west) are on your doorstep, with so much to explore and see and do.
Paimpol area
Paimpol has a rich maritime history, particularly of fishing off the Newfoundland coast. Today Paimpol is a popular tourist resort, and yachting and fishing harbour, with lots to see and do. There are boat trips to take you to the beautiful nature reserve of the Ile de Brehat or into the River Trieux, and a steam railway along the river estuary to Pontrieux. Don't miss the many harbourside restaurants. Just 5 minutes from the house is a large Centre Commercial, including hypermarchés, restaurants, sports shops, and even a MacDonalds.
It's a mere 10 minutes drive to the nearest beaches and coastal activities, yet surrounded by Breton countryside, making La Carniche and Yvias the perfect place to make your base to explore and enjoy. Guests have recommended the Palus Plage at Plouha, which has restaurants, toilets, children's park and easy parking.
How to get there
Rural village location but just 3 minutes from main road network. Motorway to Saint Brieuc, then follow directions to Paimpol direct for 25 minutes. 5 minutes from Paimpol.

Further details indoors: The house has a large and comfortable open-plan living and dining room with fully fitted and equipped country kitchen. French & British satellite TV, movie and book library, board games. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor, with a toilet next door, and a new spacious shower room with toilet. On the first floor there are 3 further bedrooms - 1 king sized double and 2 singles, one with a cot and another with a double bed settee - and another large bathroom. There are wall-mounted electric heaters in every room.
Further details outdoors: Spacious enclosed lawned garden, large raised patio area with furniture and barbecue - perfect for those quiet evenings in with a glass of wine, or family barbecues. The village basketball court is just yards away from the house, with small children's play area. 2 minutes walk to local bar/cafe where you can order your morning baguettes, otherwise nearest grocery store in next village (3 minute drive) or 5 minute drive to hypermarché in Paimpol.

Changeover day is normally Fridays, but flexible outside of high season. Deposit 25% at time of booking, payment in full due one month prior to start of holiday.
