The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
Brittany.Cotes d'Armor is a beautiful unspoilt region of France with charming towns and villages, stunning coastlines and unspoilt walking paths and beaches all the way around the peninsular. Renowned for its simple and delicious seafood and crepes, but all types of french food are available in numerous restaurants. The ports of Paimpol, St Quay Portrieux, Tregiuer and Lezardrieux are all close by as are golf courses and beach sports. Every day there is a market somewhere locally and the bretons are extremely friendly.
Paimpol area
Paimpol is a bustling sailing port and market town just 15 minutes away where there are numerous shops, bars and restaurants surrounding the marina and town square. Lanvollon just 10 mins away also has restaurants, shops and a large supermarket. There are two championship golf courses within 30 mins, a beautiful links course within 45 mins and a 9 hole and 13 hole course within 15 mins/25 mins.There is also fishing, kayaking, tennis, sand sailing and beach sports locally. The abbaye de Beauport and Chateau Roche Jagu are not to be missed and a boat ride to the Isles de Brehat makes a lovely day out.
How to get there
Fly to Dinan, Brest or Rennes Ferry to St. Malo, Roscoff, Caen or Cherbourg Whichever method of transport you take it is an easy run on the motorway to St. Brieuc with no motorway tolls and then a 25 minute drive up the peninsular to the house.

Further details indoors: Attractively furnished family home enjoys open plan spacious living on two floors with a log fire for out of season.The house sleeps six very comfortably, but two children could easily sleep on the mezzanine Upstairs there is a large mezzanine , leading into a small study area off which the double and twin bedroom is. A shower room and separate loo are also upstairs. On the ground floor there is one double bedroom, bathroom and separate loo separated by two doors from the entrance hall and the main living area. The kitchen is open plan to the dining area and large living room. French doors open out on to terraces all around the house. There is a very large basement with washing and drying facilities and a table tennis table.
Further details outdoors: A large private garden with trees and shrubs and flower beds. The swimming pool has a seating area around it and there are garden chairs. There are two terrace tables for all day and evening al fresco eating. There is a cover for the pool if you are worred about small children.
