About the home

This converted former chapel provides quality holiday accommodation, all within a short walk of the beach at Trevone and just five minutes drive from Padstow. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms The Chapel is ideal for a couple, two couples (bedroom 2 can be a twin or large double) or a family of up to 4. It has its own garden surrounding the property, offstreet parking for two cars. Furnished and equipped to a high standard we like to think all the little extras you may need are provided - well equipped kitchen, large flat screen TV, Wifi, MP3 docking station, games, DVDs and books, comfy beds, Jacuzzi bath, and telephone - for a relaxing holiday.

Living Room/Kitchen - the Chapel provides a comfortable open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Tastefully furnished and decorated, the living area has two comfortable sofas, coffee table, large Flatscreen TV with freeview, DVD , CD player, a lovely old dresser, dining table and six chairs. The newly fitted kitchen has an attractive range of contemporary high gloss units with granite worktops, and provides all the quality appliances you would expect - fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob. There is also a separate utility area housing a washer/dryer and freezer.

Master Bedroom & En suite Shower Room - a high quality King Size Bed will ensure a good night's sleep. There is also a second TV in this bedroom.

En suite Shower Room - fitted with beautiful contemporary hand basin, WC and Shower.

Bedroom 2 - is fitted with high quality twin beds which can be zip and linked to form a 6' double bed. Bedroom 2 is next to the main bathroom.

Main Bathroom - is fitted with a luxurious modern suite in white, comprising hand basin, WC and Villeroy and Boch Jacuzzi bath.

To add that extra touch of luxury, quality bed linen, fluffy towels, hair dryers, and MP3 docking/alarm clock/radios in each bedroom, are all provided , along with Wifi and telephone for incoming and local calls.The Chapel is also centrally heated throughout, providing warm and comfortable accommodation whatever the time of year.

A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request (for one child aged under 1 year).There is also a good selection of DVDs and CDs for all ages, along with books and games.

Outside there is garden to three sides of the chapel providing all day sunshine. External seating and eating is provided by a stylish wrought iron table and six chairs.

A BBQ and deck chairs are also provided, along with a selection of outdoor games. There is also plenty of secure storage for surfboards and bikes in the garage (not suitable for a car).

The chapel is gated and provides off street parking for two cars (although those with sports cars may find you "bottom out" at the entrance).

Location:
Trevone Bay is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famous for its dramatic coastline and wonderful sandy beaches.

The main sandy bay at Trevone is ideal for sand castle building, surfing and swimming. Safety on the beach is provided by full time life guards during the summer months.

Around a small headland is "Rocky" Beach which is perfect for rock pooling and fishing, it also has a wonderful natural swimming pool. Trevone has a beach store, tea room, café, pub, and surf shop. All are within easy walking distance of the chapel. The picturesque fishing port of Padstow, just two miles away, offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein's world renowned Seafood Restaurant.

There are wonderful cliff walks and public footpaths from the chapel. For golfers Trevose Golf and Country Club is just two miles away. Horse riding, tennis, sailing and water skiing are all available nearby.

Trevone is also an ideal base from which to explore the rest of Cornwall. The Eden Project is just half an hour away, and the many National Trust properties and gardens of Cornwall are all within an hour's drive.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Trevone is a great base from which to explore the rest of Cornwall. The Eden Project is just half an hour away, and the many National Trust properties and gardens of Cornwall are all within an hour’s drive.

The picturesque fishing port of Padstow, just two miles away, offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein's world renowned Seafood Restaurant. As well as Padstow, the village of St Merryn is just 3km away. St.Merryn is a thriving small village which boasts two pubs (one of which, The Cornish Arms is now run by Rick Stein), three restaurants, two convenience stores, a fish and chip shop, and bakers.

Just 5 minutes drive away are further stunning beaches at, Harlyn, Constantine, Treyarnon and Porthcothan Bay.

The Chapel is approximately 15 miles from the A30 at Bodmin, roughly a five hour drive from London and the NW of england. Newquary Airport is a 10-15 minute drive away. Air South West, Flybe and Jet2 fly from a number of UK regional airports to Newquay Airport including Gatwick, Glasgow and Edinburgh

Car Hire is available from Newquay airport.

Trains from Paddington to Bodmin Parkway take between 4 and 5 hours and Bodmin Parkway is a 30 minute drive away.

There is a local bus that runs from the top of the village between Padstow and Newquay.

The reduced rental rate for 2 persons is on the basis of linens and towels being provided for two people and either bedroom 1 or 2 only being occupied.

We offer short breaks during the winter* either from a Friday to Monday (3 nights) or Monday to Friday (4 nights). *winter short breaks are available from lst November - 31st March with the exception of 20 Dec - 6 January 2011 and 18-24 February 2011. Please contact us for a price.
