Swallows is a cosy, stylish and peaceful retreat which sleeps 2 adults in one double bedroom. The interior is full of character and style, with mellow stone walls, Cornish slate and exposed beams. It has been completely refurbished for 2009 in a lovely comfortable contemporary seaside style and offers Wifi access. The property is surrounded on three sides by garden and has a lovely secluded west facing deck overlooking the garden and countryside beyond.

The West Country / Cornwall region
Swallows is a great base from which to explore the rest of Cornwall. The Eden Project is just half an hour away, and the many National Trust properties and gardens of Cornwall are all within an hour’s drive.
Padstow area
Swallows is ideally located just a mile inland from the sea, and one mile equidistant between St Merryn and Porthcothan Bay. St.Merryn is a thriving small village which boasts two pubs (one of which, The Cornish Arms is now run by Rick Stein), three restaurants, two convenience stores, a fish and chip shop, deli and bakery. Just 5 minutes drive away are several stunning beaches including Porthcothan, Harlyn, Constantine, Treyarnon and Trevone. It is less than a couple of miles from the Championship Golf course at Trevose. The picturesque harbour town of Padstow is just a 10 minute drive away. If you like walking, there is nowhere better. Public footpaths can be reached from the boundary of the property, making it an ideal base for walkers, and there are some wonderful cliff walks all along the coast nearby . For cyclists the off road Camel Trail starts at Padstow and follows the estuary inland to Wadebridge and then beyond up onto Bodmin Moor. Bicycles are available to hire both in Padstow and Wadebridge.
The picturesque fishing port of Padstow, just four miles away, offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein’s world renowned Seafood Restaurant. And in the opposite direction Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant is just 5 miles away at Watergate Bay.
For golfers Trevose Golf and Country Club is just two miles away. Horse riding, tennis, sailing and water skiing are all available nearby.
How to get there
Swallows and Wreckers are approximately 15 miles from the A30 at Bodmin, roughly a five hour drive from London and the NW of england. Air South West and Flybe fly from a number of UK regional airports to Newquay Airport (10 minutes from Swallows and Wreckers) including Gatwick, as does Ryanair from Stansted. Car Hire is available from Newquay airport. The local bus between Padstow and Newquay passes the end of the farm lane.

Further details indoors: The accommodation is all on the ground floor and comprises a bright, modern living room/kitchen with 2 comfy sofas, coffee table, flatscreenTV, freeview, DVD and MP3 docking station, fully equipped modern kitchen which includes a washer/dryer, microwave, electric hob, oven and fridge/freezer, table and chairs for two. French doors lead from the living area onto a private west facing deck with table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy the evening sun. The bedroom has a double bed, 2 bedside tables, chest of drawers and wardrobe, with french doors leading out onto a private garden at the front of the property. There is a separate bathroom with bath and shower attachment, WC and basin. Outside, the property has its own gardens which surround the property on three sides, with views over farmland beyond.

Whilst not a working farm, Trevoyan is run as a small holding so there will be small animals and farm vehicles on the premises.
PLEASE BE AWARE that there is a pond at Trevoyan which could prove a hazard to small children

Swallows is let on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks are available in the low season from November to March*
Both Wreckers and Swallows are no smoking properties and regrettably are not suitable for animals of any kind.
