About the home

Located in Atlantic Bays Holiday Park, the chalet is set amidst 27 acres of peaceful parkland in Cornwall. The park's facilities include an onsite shop and launderette as well as an outdoor children's play area, BBQ area, and during the Summer there is a snack and drinks bar available.

Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is one mile from St Merryn which has two restaurants, two pubs (Rick Stein new owner of Cornish Arms) and an award winning fish and chip shop within two miles of seven beautiful sandy beaches and three miles from Padstow, an historic working fishing port on the river Camel estuary. The Atlantic Bays estate is ideally located for exploring North Cornwall and only half an hour's drive from the Eden Project. Newquay and Wadebridge are nearby, 20mins and 30mins drive away respectively. Be it walking, fishing, cycling, swimming, surfing, body boarding or just simply relaxing, this is an ideal location for your holiday.

Fully equipped kitchen/dining room. Washer/dryer for laundry. Comfortable lounge with TV/Video/DVD, radio and flame effect electric stove (sofa bed for 5th person). Book case with tourist information, a variety of books for young and old, together for board games for quiet evenings in. Luxury shower room with WC and wash basin. Rates are inclusive of electricity, cleans and key pick up. Bed linen and towels not provided. No smoking. Bedrooms fitted with new pine furniture. Twin bedroom has portable TV/DVD player. Floors laminated throughout with cosy rugs in lounge and twin bedroom. Linen and towels can be provided - please contact me for prices.

Outside tap for rinsing off wet suits/beach gear. Outdoor clothes dryer/airer to hang wetsuits/beach towels etc. There is a patio area with picnic bench. Ample parking.

The chalet park is geared towards families and couples. It is unsuitable for groups of under 18s or groups/party goers and, in the interest of fellow holiday makers, such bookings will not be accepted and access to the site will be refused.

Dogs/pets are currently not permitted (except for guide dogs).

A £50 deposit is required at the time of booking, if cancelled this will only be refunded if the chalet is let again. The balance is payable 4 weeks prior to your holiday commencement date. A £100 security bond (cheque) is also payable at the time of paying the balance - this will be returned once the chalet has been checked over for damage/breakages.

There are no hidden charges - prices stated include electricity, water and a thorough, professional clean prior to your arrival.

All guests are asked to check in at Reception on arrival and to please adhere to the 5mph speed limit. Key collection/cleans are not dealt with by the site management. Details of key collection, chalet's location and directions will be provided upon receipt of holiday balance.

Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is situated on the North Cornish coastline and set in 27 acres of peaceful grassed parkland for that 'get away from it all' kind of holiday all the year round. For walkers, Atlantic Bays is close to the breathtaking Cornish coastal path which stretches the length of the North Cornish coastline.

Tintagel is nearby, where the historic remains of King Arthur's castle can be found. The Eden Project, near St Austell an ideal attraction for the green fingered, is famous for its giant Biomes, the largest conservatories in the world.

The Padstow / St Merryn area

Some 3 miles from Atlantic Bays is Padstow Fishing Village, famous for Rick Stein's Fish Restaurant, and the Camel Trail which is excellent for cycling to Wadebridge and onto Bodmin. Local farm offers horse riding trails. The chalet park's nearest village is St Merryn (3km away) offering a variety of amenities including a Garage, Post Office, Inns, Wine Bar, Vets. Home to the beautiful sandy beaches of Constantine, Porthcothan, Treyarnon and Harlyn. Excellent for rock pooling, surfing or body boarding.

Take the M5 to Exeter and then turn onto the A30 through Cornwall towards Bodmin. Take the A395 to Wadebridge and Camelford and follow the by-pass to the roundabout with the A39. Continue along this road and take the Padstow turning on your right (A389). Drive through the villages of St. Issey and Little Petherick. At junction with B3274, turn left and continue for ½ mile then turn right at the next junction signposted St Merryn. Continue for 1 mile, continue straight on at junction and follow road round. Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is located on your left.

“A great base for touring Cornwall, or simply enjoying Padstow” A nice quiet location away from the tourist crowds at Padstow Car essential to local villages and beaches Close by - St Merryn has pubs, restaurants, supermarket, fish & chips and petrol station St Merryn also has a little Tea Room and giftshop, and excellent Deli Site was due to open a new bar - unsure of dates Site also has small shop and camping facilities
